PokerStars new Beta software
 

Greetings 2+2!

PokerStars is pleased to offer 2+2 the first look at our newest features, "Themes" and "Resizable Tables".

You may read instructions for, download and install the beta from:

http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/download/beta.html

The beta installs separately to its own directory and will not affect your standard PokerStars installation. It works in all games, real money and play money.

Please note that this *is* a beta, and if you test it in real money games you will be doing so at your own risk. PokerStars shall not be liable to you in any way for any losses which you may incur.

That said, if you want to give the new-look PokerStars a workout, please report problems either here or by Email to "[email protected]".

Major revisions to functionality are unlikely to be made at this stage. We're not looking for "this would be better if....", so much as we are looking for "this doesn't work properly."

i dl'ed it and its very nice.

only think i dont like is how mouse cursor changes when you go over a button like 'raise' at the table

suggestion, a button on the table that will put the tables back in normal size and will tile/cascade them like party does.

when animations are on do chips still move into the pot in like 5 frames and looks like it was written in 1995?

Annoying thing --> I have a dual monitor set up, when I drag a table over to monitor 2 and maximize, it maxmizes into monitor 1. A bit of a nit I know

No timeframe yet for official release. There are of course bugs to work out, and we want to make sure all issues are resolved before general release. I can say that this is high priority for PokerStars and we want to make these features generally available as soon as possible.

You forgot to turn on save hand histories under options->instand hand history

did you set it to save the hands on your HDD and play a hand yet? IIRC, 'stars doesn't make the history folder until you do that

need to set "four color deck" option when using that "simplified" deck in the "stars" theme. Otherwise, diamonds/hearts and clubs/spades are the same color. This is secondhand information, my wife discovered it.

That's a pretty big showstopper if it got to live software. I suggest making both decks the same when using that card-mod, so newbies don't get confused.

that "standard" deck for the "stars" theme looks a lot like waffle cards.

We need a guide to create themese, plz. Obv you can look through the directories and figure out which images to modify but a concise guide would be really cool. I'd suggest getting a community modder (or two) to help, they know about the user/modder end like no other.

PokerStars contacted me a while back and the Hyper-Simple theme is based off of my mod. It's changed up a bit and more friendly for resizeable tables. I like the black card backs, cool touch [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Awesome upgrade, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make the pot amount and bet sizes bigger. They are unreadable with the smaller windows as it stands.

OK,I just gave this a try, and I really like it so far.

Does anyone know whether any of the PAHUD versions work with this beta?
