High Stakes regulars Confess!

How often to the well known highstakes players on this board tilt. OBV you got guys like Kurosh, however I'm wondering more about guys like Flawless, Strasser, bruiser, bk, schnieds, ect...

I catch myself making a few bad call downs maybe once every month or two and then quit the session. Is that tilt? Sure. But momentarily and controlled.

Honestly when is the last time you tilted retardedly? 2 years? more/less? ever?

Probably once a month I'll find myself playing a lot worse than usual. I keep playing, which is a leak of mine. I am not sure if this is enough to make me -EV in games, but I certainly have had some righteous bouts with variance when playing this way. It has nothing to do with bad beats or anything like that, though. It is usually brought on by making one bad play and being mad at myself. Something I'm working on, for sure.
-James

As far as tilting retardedly, I probably have once in the last 2 years or so, but it was this year.

A lot of times I can feel that it's possible I will tilt in the future, so I tighten up a bit to relax and focus, if the game is good enough. If I ever make a play that I felt was tilt-fueled, then I just shut down the computer immediately after and call it a day. I think this happens about once a month.

Maybe this is a form of tilting too, quitting when I am in a great game and playing perfectly fine but frustrated about getting turned/rivered in enormous pots? I do that often and just did it two seconds ago.

I tilted off 1/2 my bankroll in 3 hour session.

In terms of mistake size in BB's, quitting a bunch of good games when you could have another couple hours left in you otherwise is a much bigger mistake than one bad calldown. I think that counts as tilt. Its not the kind of tilt that makes you go broke though, theres a lot to be said for that.

people who don't tilt have a different definition of what tilt is.

when i tilt, i go play stud or omaha, and after losing my buyin or enuf big bets, i usually just quit and fall asleep depressed. not a good way to end a session, but the facts r the facts.

Quitting the session after you do this is arguably tilt.

I never used to tilt. I was running good.

Now I feel that sick rush of tilt bubbling up from my gut at the slightest mistake or bad beat. I'm running bad.

It's a vicious cycle. Run bad, tilt, play bad, tilt more. I can't really remember what it's like to win at poker.

It happens with me more than it should. I dont always lose, but I usually do. A lot of times my tilting is a product of other things going on in my life. Id say once every 5 or 6 weeks I have an incident, but usually i stop it pretty fast and go watch a movie.
