Whats Your Pet Peeve?
 

One of my biggest pet peeve is when your in the elevator at work lets say. Someone then runs to the button and presses it to make the door open, after the door has already completly closed for a good second.

I will never do this, if i miss the elevator i will wait to make sure the elevator left. Instead of pressing it quick to make the door open.

Anyone with me on this?

i'm with you.

my pet peeve is when you're at a non-busy intersection. You want to turn right but there is one lone car coming from your left so you wait until he passes...only he doesn't pass, he turns down your street and never bothered to turn his blinker on, making you wait there for him!

One of my Internet pet peeves is people who get all carried away with the "best/worst of all time" label when it comes to movies, music etc. Yes, War of the Worlds was quite flawed, but calling it the worst movie of all time is just a ridiculous claim.

"Thread over." This usually follows a highly disputable or outright stupid response.

"tl; dr"

People who sit at a stop sign for an extended period of time while you're approaching from another street of the intersection. They then wait for you to come to a complete stop before proceeding.

My point is if I'm doing only the speed limit, or less, I'll get out of the left lane if you want to pass. When I'm already going 5-10 over, you move.

If you're talking about the use of "your" in the OP's title, I guess that's why you're saying wow? Like, "Wow, I almost made an ass of myself with my reply"?. Another traffic peeve: People like you. SLOWER traffic should move to the right. That doesn't some absolute "X mph above posted speed and you stay", rather if there are cars going faster than yours you should move the [censored] over. Ass.

Dude:

I'm not necessarily advocating going super fast down the road, but I do think it's safer (for all involved) to move to the right whenever you're not passing. That way the crazies can zip on by without having to swerve around you.

Obviously this all assumes the right lane isn't completely clogged up with traffic; if it is I understand what you're saying that you don't want to continously go back and forth and speed up/slow down nonstop etc.

Fair enough. I'm assuming little or no congestion too. If a guy is a few hundred feet away, even at 80-85, he has plenty of time to go around me safely. I just see no logical reason for me at 75 to have to move when he can do so as safely. Again, if there's even moderate traffic, and he's got nowhere else to go, I have no problem moving.

What I'm talking about is the guys who come out of nowhere, doing 80 on a pretty clear highway and get to within 10 feet and start flashing ME the lights. They had plenty of time to jump in the middle lane.

I don't plan on doing 80 when I have kids in the car. But, if you're in the left lane driving 5 mph over the limit and blocking traffic just to be a jackass, you're the one who is endangering your kids. You should control the things you can control, not try to play traffic monitor by refusing to move over.

Drive in the left lane only for a reason---like if you're passing someone.

And another one is when people can not properly manage their child in public (grocery stores etc...). They just let the little bastard run around screaming and breaking [censored] all day, or they just ignore a screaming child. If you can't take care of the kid properly buy some [censored] condoms or get your [censored] snipped.
