Jamie Kennedy WTF
 

Does anyone think this guy is funny? How is he a big celebrity? I hvae seen a little bit of his new MTV show and saw an episode of his WB show and a little bit of the idiotic Malibu's Most Wanted, which somehow grossed $34M in theaters.

I find nothing entertaining or charismatic or amusing about him. Yet somehow this guy manages to get tons of work.

What's the deal? Which of you like this clown?

I understand why Andy Milonakis is funny. There's an absurdist thing to him that's kinda neat. Kennedy's humor is is just meh.

I've only seen him in his cameo role (guy peeing in the woods) in Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. I don't think I've seen him do anything else really.

Edit: Now that I think about it, he's the one who had his own movie, the one where he's a white rapper, or something right? Looked horrible.

Kennedy blows. There is nothing funny about this Malibu rapper character. He probably knows a bunch of people in the right places to continue getting work.

I think Scream has a lot to do with it. Aren't the kids obsessed with that movie? Also, The Jamie Kennedy Experiment is pretty popular with the young'uns.

That is a pretty mediocre TV show but it has its moments and its a good idea for a show in general.

I used to like Milonakis, then I found out he's actually 30 and looks young due to some condition he has - for some reason this blew the humor for me (always just thought he was some awesome, precocious kid).

Sam - I was just about to post "wasn't Scream like 10 years ago?" Also, Jaime Kennedy Experiment is fairly old I think... yeah seriously, kudos to you Kennedy. Also, I have seen the man about town and he pulls some serious ass.

The funniest part of the Jamie Kennedy Experiment was at the end of the prank when told people they had been 'Xed' and they had no clue what he was talking about until he explained it was a hidden camera show.

This was on some movie channel today. I didn't know he was in it but I started watching his show so I was going to watch this movie and it was [censored] unbelievably stupidly terrible. I looked it up on wikipedia and it was nominated for worst movie of the year or something.

He's not that funny but his idea to market his rap cd on an MTV show is a really good idea.

They talk about downloading their [censored] off itunes after the episodes so I thought it was real.

I actually liked his JKX show. He seemed to be pretty good at disguising himself as several different character types. Somewhere Rupert G cries. And sells a postcard.

Malibu's Most Wanted was simply an exec at a studio saying "hey Jamie...we'll pay you a [censored] of money if you'll take that character from your JKX show and make a crappy comedy out of it"

Malibu's Most Wanted was uncompromisingly retarded but imho the Jamie Kennedy Experiment is [censored] gold. Everything about the guy on his show is hilarious (his mannerisms, above all).

he's okay. he must've been in the right place at the right time a few years back - or he just knows somebody who gave him a shot and he got lucky.

Although I only saw a few minutes of his new show, he made a reference to "them changing everything at the last minute" regarding Malibu's Most Wanted.

Although I don't find him particularly funny, I do put him in more of a mockumentary genre than anything else. I wouldn't call him a 'comedian' per se.

i never saw his movie, but JKX was pretty funny at least in the early episodes. i found this video (nsfw language) of part of a standup special and he seemed to be pretty solid in the improv department.

i agree though that his new show is definitely not worth watching.

His new new show, where it appears he is taking himself seriously as a rapper (but I think is an elaborate hoax) is pretty funny, because he takes it so seriously. I quote

"I got the robot on lock, I gotta cabbage patch kid thats still in the box"

Referring to his son of the mask movie, it grossed something like 25M and it cost 80M to have it made.
