This episode is killer.

Re: Wheres the official Sopranos thread this week?
You just started it. There's still time to edit the title.

Re: Wheres the official Sopranos thread this week?
My favorite episode of the season so far, without question. The Tony-Anthony conversation in the garage was great.

Vito's Wife -- "Wasn't he a good person?"
Phil -- "I loved him like a brother-in-law." Haha |

This episode is killer. [/ QUOTE ] I'd have to disagree. Way too much time spent on melodramatic filler scenes between Roe and Carm in Paris. |
Re: Official Sopranos Thread 5-21
When Phil walked out of the closet in the motel, I almost died laughing.

Aj needs to get his ass kicked
Phil needs to get his ass kicked They seem to be doing a lot to set up a big war for next season. Hopefully its worth the wait. |
Re: Official Sopranos Thread 5-21
There might be a little draft on the way into work tomorrow.

Re: Official Sopranos Thread 5-21
I loved T telling the shrink about how he hates AJ.

That was such a strange scene where it would switch to some gold bird back to her face looking all crazy and then a statue and then a boat. |

I think they had a lot of fun repeatedly stabbing that guy.

Re: Official Sopranos Thread 5-21
"I loved him like a brother-in-law" might be my favorite Sopranos line since "Have you considered salads".
Phil L's wife might be as awful as Janice. God, what a [censored]. The bicycle helmet / windshield thing was annoying. Isn't that impossible? I can now live a happy life without having to see Vito rape Phin. Hallelujah! EDIT: Wow, the word that starts with a "t" and ends with a "wat" is censored. Who knew? |

Re: Official Sopranos Thread 5-21
Great episode - no one mentioned the cutaway from Carmela admiring Paris's architecture to Silvio yelling 'Make sure you get that [censored] off her tit!' to the guy washing the BadaBing sign. They've gotten good at these humorous cutaways.
There was a bit too much of Carmela's philosophizing - it was pretty obvious that Ro was tiring of it throughout the whole trip. What a weird ending - it seemed to echo Carmela's thought in Paris about how people jump in and out of existence in a person's life. The photographer just had a kind of 'huh' reaction to the whole thing. Also glad to see Vito get whacked without the Phin rape - I never believed that to begin with, as it didn't really seem to fit the story. Speaking of rape, that whole Dr. Melfi rape thing never really went anywhere, but that's a couple of seasons ago now I guess. Still, I thought the show was really well acted, especially the scene at dinner in Paris and the scene in the garage with Tony and Anthony. All the little threads are coming together - should be really interesting from now until the end of the season. |

Speaking of rape, that whole Dr. Melfi rape thing never really went anywhere, but that's a couple of seasons ago now I guess. [/ QUOTE ] The point of that episode was that Melfi had considerations of allowing Tony to extract revenge on her behalf. Her husband didn't do anything and her son resented him for it. She wanted revenge when she found out where he worked, and she talked about that in her own therapy session. In the end, she did not want to become one of "those people" and/or get the mob involved as it could only get worse from there. Basically, she chose not to tell Tony what really happened, and decided to just move on with her own life. |

Am I missing an inside joke or something? Why does everyone call him "Phin"? It's Finn.

Re: Wheres the official Sopranos thread this week?
Windshields break easier from stuff hitting the inside than the outside, but I do buy that Tony could do that.
The stuff with Carm was amazing to look at, but I've never enjoyed her solo scenes. Kinda just sucks the life out of things, as her character is just such a downer. Still- [censored] amazing camera work and display of Paris. Vito's death was sad. I with they hadn't had the cartoonish spy [censored], and the almost implausibly (but saddly not really) bigoted relative. I thought it was a really well done story in all. Interesting that AJ isn't just getting a job, he's getting a mob job, this is clearly step one down his path to growing into the life. |

Re: Wheres the official Sopranos thread this week?
I thought the episode was the funniest of the season.
Did anyone else wonder whether Tony was having a panic attack, or medical problem, in the car, before they moved the camera back and showed that the stripper was giving him a blow job? |
