I am curious as to how much the top "online" players make.
Somebody like Hollingol, who's playing 24/7, does he make 30k/month or is it closer to 60k or more? What about the top 100-200 limit guys? I have absolutly no idea, but it would be interesting to know.

Assuming they played 10/20 and made three big blinds per hour on five tables for eight hours a day and played six days per week they would be bringing in close to $60,000 per month or $720,000 per year.

Actually I read that interview with Holingool. I then saw him play a hand on stars (all numbers approx.), he has 20k the other guy 8k.Hol raises pre a hundred, the other raise 200 more. Flop comes KQ4, Hol bets 500, other raises 750. Turn KQ44 Hol checks other bets 1500 Hol calls. Riv KQ44Q, Hol checks with about 5k in pot, the other pushes about 6k,Hol goes in the tank for the full time and calls. Hol turns over AK, other guy 66.

I am rarely impressed by poker players, but this literally made me say "wow".

That got me wondering about how much this kid makes.

Oh yeah, from the 15 min I watched b4 this the guy seemed extremely tight.

I'm not sure per hour but I am at 4.5ptbb/100 my last 80,000 hands of 7-tabling 10/20 NL. I got off to a rocky start this year and still think I should break 7 figures...especially since I recently tweaked my game and started 8tabling.

I definitely have to work on my multitabling. I can do three or four tables with marginal detriment to my game; but beyond that it gets pretty bad. Of course the fact that I only have one 15" monitor for my laptop doesn't help.

A good NL player, playing ALOT, can make over a million playing just 2/4 NL. Though most people would prefer to leisurely making 300k, than making a mill working like a dog.

I lost like 70k at 25/50 in Jan/Feb forcing me to only make like $20k combined those 2 months. Then party opened 10/20 6max. I've run at 3.5ptbb/100 in my 160,000 hands there which includes the first 40,000 hands of playing like crap. Based on how well I've done, how well I play and how much I play, I believe I will come close to making $1 million this year. I didn't mention it before but I play around 65,000 hands per monht.

So why is all of this so hard to believe? Is it because you are running so bad that you think it's impossible for anybody else to do well? I can't think of any other reason because what I said makes perfect sense. I don't have a calc but if you wanna do some #'s:

12 months
65,000 hands per month
780,000 hands
3.5ptbb/100

or...

4ptbb/100

What's that come out to?

5 PTbb/100 is DEFINETALY possible at NL400 and possible at NL600 while 4-8 tabling. And apparently if you're lolo, it's running bad at NL2k (while 10 tabling)

How do you know this. HEK has been a sucessful highstakes NL player since I started playing NL 6 months ago. I am sure he has an extemly good understanding of variance in these high stakes games. He didn't comeout of nowhere and have a great month, he has been having great sucess for atleast the 6 months I have been here and I would guess longer.
