What is the standard play here???

When i make this post I do NOOOOOT want comments about flop, and preflop. This is STRICTLY about the turn here PLEASE! No reads on villian just sat down at the table.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($95.80)
Hero ($195)

UTG ($197.65)
MP ($197.25)
CO ($290.71)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $1.
3 folds, Button raises to $4, Hero (poster) calls $3, 1 fold.

Flop: ($10) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $2, Hero calls $2.

Turn: ($14) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $2, Hero raises to $20, Button raises to $38.
Hero just pushes right? or gets tricky and does somethin fancy on this river?

Re: What is the standard play here???

kinda hard to not make comments preflop and flop.

the pot size should be a lot larger by the time you get this far.

raise the flop to four. Will make getting it in on the turn easier.

How about you let the players here who are much better than you decide what to comment on.

You butchered this hand. RR PF. Bet the flop, bet the turn.
Stop trying to be tricky, bet your hand.

Re: What is the standard play here???

Demanding no comments on parts of the hand wont get you very far.

If I cant comment on your horrible play on early parts of the hand, Im not going to comment on how to fix the problem you created.

Next!

Re: What is the standard play here???

I think this was the most painful hand I've ever read. Did you just close your eyes and click buttons preflop/flop? And the turn decision has to be the most trivial thing ever. The pot is like $95, he's got a hand he likes, and he's only got $50 (1/2-pot) behind. Of course you push. As played, the standard in this hand would be to either minraise or fold on the turn.

Not trying to brag, anyone can win/lose over 39 hands, but what's a HU grudge match without posting the results?

Re: What is the standard play here???

I dont think I would push. It is to big of a bet since you kept the pot so small on earlier streets. By pushing you give him a chance to fold. I make it a $90 and push the river.
