Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
Hi,
I have a issue with ultimatebet, I hope some of you are patient enough to read this. There is as well cliff notes at bottom of post. I opened new account to ultimatebet 16.4.2006. Before starting to play there I wanted to make sure, that even tho I have played underage before it wont cause problems anymore: I have played previously few hundred hands at ultimatebet, and frankly some underage with wrong info. I opened a while ago account with correct info(email ) and played a little but I have now forgot the password and there is no password hint. So can you please make it possible that I can play with this new account and deposit + withdraw by neteller. I tried validating the email but got an error. Thank you very much in advance, "ITILTEZ" And got this answer: Dear "ITILTEZ", Thank you for preferring us as your ultimate on-line poker destination. Your account has been properly validated and it currently has an active status with no restrictions of any kind. Please try to log in again and let us know if you need any further assistance. Also remember to check your junk email box for notification emails since maybe your filters have sent our messages to this box and to add our address as a safe address. If you need any further assistance, do not hesitate on contacting us back, and we will be more than glad to serve you. Best Regards, Tita Customer Service Because I wanted to make it absolute sure, I emailed them again. Please notice that the same person responded my email within short period of time, the previous answers were attached as well. Hi, Does that mean I can now play with this new account without problems? Even tho I have had couple previous account(which I haven't used much and have forgot all the info connected to them) Thanks, "ITILTEZ" And got back: Dear "ITILTEZ", Yes, this account is up and running well, and you should be able to access it and play at our tables now. Please contact us if you need any further assistance. Best Regards, Tita Customer Service I forgot the UB account for a while and made a deposit of $250 on 11.5.2006, in order to test that everything is fine. My cash out request was declined the first time, but the problem was solved when I changed the email to my neteller email. This is the email previous mentioned in this post. They as well closed my accounts(3) connected to that email. Both operations went smoothly without any kind problems. I got my cashout to neteller within some hours. So now I knew everything was like it should. On Saturday 13.5.2006 I made a deposit of $7500(3 $2500 deposits) to my ultimatebet account, I lost most of it very shortly. However I was able to cashout the remaining $1418.30 to my neteller account without problems. Then on Monday 15.5.2006 I decided to deposit other $7500 which worked fine. I got a nice little upswing in the 5/10 and 10/25 NL tables, winning about $14000 within 24 hours. Then suddenly on Tuesday 16.5.2006 when I'm trying to start new session in 10/25nl 6max I get message saying my account is disabled and that I need to contact support for details. I do that, but they just promise to get back to me. I think maybe it's just some bug and try to log off and on to UB software. Log off goes fine, but now everytime I try to login I get message saying "Invalid username, please try again". I'm absolute sure all the info is correct. I have emailed ultimatebet 5-6 times during this time. Not even once I have got actually helpfull answer, it's mostly just been that they will forward my email to something. It usually takes 12+ hours to get even that. I once was told my account is under fraud investigation, and they would contact me soon. However it's 36 hours of that, and they haven't answered any of my question after it. Also I have asked them to give me a phone # to call, because I can't find one from ultimatebet.com. Neither has that request been answered. $21000 is a lot of money to me, and especially with this terrible customer service I'm worried. I told them last night, that if I wouldn't get some kind real info/phone # within 12 hours I would post this to 2+2. I really wouldn't wanna go to this route, but I really don't see any other options at this point. Sorry about it. I'm hoping that posting here would maybe speed up process. As well I'm aware that here is alot smart and good persons, who I'm sure can help me figure out way to solve this matter. I have played poker on many sites, and never had this bad problems. This includes sites were I formerly played underage, but then told them my situation honestly. CLIFF NOTES: Ultimatebet has banned my account with $21000 in it and refuses to give real reason, or any help. |

Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
It seems that it's very premature to say that UB 'stole' your money.
But I wish you good luck. |
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
To first guy: That is your opinion, and I understand it. However this is not about that. And for what it's worth I lost money there.
To second guy: I know, I wanted to do a bit radical title in order to get some ideas. I understand that this is most likely just some investigation that is taking longer then it should. However the most annoying part is that, they dont tell me anything. |
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
Very premature.
They locked your account on 5/16 because of some investigation and they want to check out what's going on. Today is 5/19. It's been less than 3 days dude. Relax. They've been slow. But other sites have done slower. Keep trying to e-mail them and ask why they aren't responding. I wouldn't be happy if I had $21k locked up either. but I think you are over-reacting by saying they 'stole' it. Hopefully everything works out fine. |

Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
I find it hard to relax, when I dont know what has happened to big amount of money
I will keep emailing them, but they just keep saying they forward it to someone. That someone just never contacts me. I asked them for phone # again, and aswell gave me own. |

I understand that this is most likely just some investigation that is taking longer then it should. However the most annoying part is that, they dont tell me anything. [/ QUOTE ] If you won $14,000+ in 24 hours, they are likely concerned that someone has fraudulently deposited and has dumped the money to you. They may now be waiting to ensure that that person's deposit clears (through Visa, or FirePay, or whatever) before they allow you to cash out. They are unlikely to tell you anything before they are finished their investigation as it serves no purpose; they've told you it's under investigation for fraud (and I'd put it at 99% it's about the issues I describe above), what more should they tell you? Just be patient and let them finish the investigation. If you've done nothing wrong, you shouldn't have a problem. |

This is the email previous mentioned in this post. They as well closed my accounts(3) connected to that email. [/ QUOTE ] If this means that you now have 4 accounts setup on the exact same email then I think you might have problems. |
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
I wish I could have a "nice little upswing" of $6,500.
|
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
Why did you tell them that you played there underaged??
|
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
Nick-Zack, shouldnt be more then this one.
Black winter, if I have 4 accounts with different birthdays they will figure it out soon. Then i'm screwed, based on previous experiences I know, it's best to be honest. I wanted to avoid the situation where I have like 70k in the account and then they say sorry you cant cashout. This way I got their word for it being OK. But apparently it's not enough in UBs case. |
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
Why would you have 4 accounts at UB? what happened the first 3 times?
|
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
Basicly I forgot the info every time, because I never used them to play. So I just opened a new account, I think I have actually played with only 1 account before this.
|
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
People like this make me wonder why I am not better at poker.
|
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
They are all basterds... UB, DELL, Highrollerslounge, broadband companied.
Bastards! May they crash! |
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
This is why there age restrictions on gabling. Its not good to let the child off the leash in the sweetie store.
|
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
I had the same problem (well ... minus the underage/multi-accounting part).
It was $7K that they said was under "fraud investigation", but no one responded to my follow up requests for details. Nothing ... for like 2 weeks. There was no chance of fraud ... I honestly believe that they are trained to block any large *complete* withdrawals in an attempt to discourage them. So then I just tried to withdraw funds again and it worked. About a month after that, I finally got a response that said it was ok to withdraw. Nice. UB has managed to be the worst in a pretty crappy field of customer service. |

Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
Well I haven't tried withdraw anything of the $21000 I have now on my UB account. And I can't login to try withdraw.

Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
That sucks man. UB is terrible in the customer service department, and you told them your situation beforehand and they allowed you to deposit, I think that is shady on their part. As I recommend to everyone, play at stars, the support is good, the games are good, and they are the most reputable site out there. Hope you get your money back. -Mike

I haven't tried withdraw anything of the $21000 I have now on my UB account. And I can't login to try withdraw. [/ QUOTE ] This likely means they proactively caught someone trying to defraud them, someone you may have been an unknowing beneficiary of (think a kid who stole a credit card, deposited thousands, and then just had a blast gambling it up "free of charge" at the tables). In your "little upswing" did you play with anyone really extremely terrible, to the point that you maybe thought they were intentionally losing? If that happened, it'll likely be up to you to prove you are not related in any way to that person. Good luck, and settle in for a fight. |
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
I thought of something like that, but why they wouldnt tell about it. I can't see a downside of them saying, that they suspect someone using stolen credit card so they will investigate if im part of it. That would help me alot, because I know i'm not part of anything like that.
There was couple bad players, but I won 2k or little more from only 1 person. Most of it came from AA vs AT on AT7T board so.. |
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
I am wondering why the majority of people who get the funds seized are new posters and their stories always have some shady undertones in them (in this case, underage player and multiple accounts).
|
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me

why they wouldnt tell about it. [/ QUOTE ] Why would they? What good would it do - just allow you to concoct a cover story. Doesn't really do you any good to know that's what they are looking at either. It could be a million things...just let it play out and hope for the best. |
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
I used to read rgp a lot and I remember a few different posts and they were specifically about having underage accounts shut down at UB.
This was back when they were 21+, but I remember it seemed like they were the ones who always cracked down on underage gambling. |

I am wondering why the majority of people who get the funds seized are new posters and their stories always have some shady undertones in them (in this case, underage player and multiple accounts). [/ QUOTE ] Well, almost everyone has done something shady. I for example, I have done tons of "shady" but normal stuff, including playing underage, but I have no reason to write about it until a site steals my money and I go "why"? But you won't see that until some [censored] site like DELL siezes my money. Calm down. OK, calm down. How can I make DELL go bankrupt? |

[/ QUOTE ] Thats the same question I always ask in the politics forum. Ill go check it out and find a post that makes me go WTF, how can someone with a brain have this view, then I see he has like 2 posts. Of course the guy gets attacked non stop and he is never heard from again. Trolls? Thats what I assume, but you have to reply to them so what can you do? |

I must have missed that episode. |

Who the h*ll is Jack Baurer?
|
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
Tough one. I feel bad for this thread, because I predict you will have to deal with lots of stupid responses concerning the fact you used to play underage.
To me it looks like the answers the CS rep originally gave you were just kinda auto generated, like she really wasnt reading or understanding your question/concern. Hopefully it works out for you, its only been a couple days so maybe it will. Id stay on their asses tho, keep us updated. |
Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
You should change your post title to:
"Ultimate Bet is in the process of potentially stealing $21000 from me" As for the AA hand Vs. the AT - that sounds really awesome! How big was the guy's stack you took on that 1 hand? Talk about a beat! |

Re: Ultimatebet stole $21000 from me
I don't think it's premature and I think it's good you'r posting this.
They shouldn't lock up accounts with no information at all. The least they could do is to send an email explaining the situation and how long it may take, and that you have nothing to worry about if your conscience is clean. It's good that you'r spreading the word that their customer service is this poor. It should fall back on them. |
