NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
Villain is 35/16/3.4. More aggro on the flop than on the other streets. I've reraised him every time he has opened the last few orbits. Last time he typed "having fun?" in the chatbox before he folded. Very next hand:

Re: NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
wow I guess i would call because I couldn't put you on pocket 9's and would probably go all in with anything in his position but I hate situations like this
|
Re: NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
Why the small flop and turn bets? I want to give him the chance to make a heroic call before the board gets too scary + protect my hand.
|
Re: NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
Bet more on flop and turn and you won't even have a river decision.
|
Re: NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
Easy call. Your good here 2/3 times, and the pot is laying you just worse than even money.
|
Re: NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
Bet 500 on the turn.
|
Re: NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
Yeah. I agree my turn bet is bad. A case can be made for making it more preflop too, even though $100 was the amount I made it all the other times.
But is the river really an easy call? |

[ QUOTE ] i disagree, i like the bet sizing and i like a river call [/ QUOTE ] Cool. Against what hands in his range do you think $250 is better than $400? [/ QUOTE ] all of them? i would probably bet 275, but 250 is OK. {sum of his percieved hands} vs {his actual hands} a 250 (or 275) bet is > 400. Hows that equation? |
Re: NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
Because we are inducing a push, right? And if we bet $400 there is no illusion of folding equity.
|
Re: NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
wow, u folded?
|
Re: NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
is this your standard reraise amount?

Re: NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
I would push this river with any two if I was villian... I would probably call a push with 1,5 times the pot.
|
Re: NL$1k, calling for a split on the river
How big does villians stack has to be for you to fold to the push?
|
results

How big does villians stack has to be for you to fold to the push? [/ QUOTE ] Well, I ran my timer down and folded in this hand. I honestly don't see people bluffing as much as one would think in these spots, and when they do they generally take two seconds before they come up with the fantastic idea. Since you all agree it's easy call though, I'll call next time. |
Re: results
since he has to call a push with any 2, he might as well push himself as youd push with 99.
