grey\'s anatomy season finale
 

first off I am not a fan of the show, I watch it (see it from my computer) because my gf LOVES it, in fact the only show she watches live without the DVR. But was that the most excruciating 2 hours of television ever? I don't mind soap operas but this show is utterly out of hand and the suspension of disbelief is LUDICRIOUS. The intentionally-hurt-denny-so-he-gets-the-next-donor-heart scenes were simply stupid. In real life the chief would say "the person who did this will never work in medicine again and if no one confesses all 4 of you won't" and there'd be instantly 3 fingers pointing at izzy. And prom at the hospital???? UGH.

One more thing, is casting for this show the worst ever? The meredith chick is 37 and playing a 25 year old. Not only that she's incredibly skeezery, blehhhhhhh. And what is up with the fat people, is fat the new minority or something? Bailey = moo. George's new gf = MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. K. Heigl = future moo.

The general plots sucked, but watching 'em euthanize the dog supplied some much needed comic relief.....

I believe they're all supposed to be around 27. I think Christina (Sandra Oh) is supposed to be a year or two younger.

The prom thing obviously sucked.

Denny finally becoming DeadDenny was long overdue. Crazy Izzie not being immediately fired and possibly charged with something (attempted murder?) sucked. The Meredith/Derek storyline never dying sucks.

My gf loves this show too and I started watching it b/c of her and saw the first part of the finale last night but missed it b/c of the MAVERICKS TONIGHT!! I heard it was pretty crazy. I don't mind the suspension of disbelief b/c all of these tv shows are basically nuts anyway, but yeah judging by last night I could definitely tell that tonight was going to be crazy...I still wanted to see what happened though.

I stopped watching this show when it just stopped being plausible. From what my friend described of the plot, and what I saw briefly between commercials yesterday, I have no idea how the blonde chick wasn't arrested.

Shows like this (and say, Boston Public) that portray real life hero (doctors, teachers) who do goofy heroic things that are illegal and don't face real life consquences piss me off.

Yeah, my wife is addicted to the show, and When I'm in the room while she's watching it, there's a one "You gota be kidding me.." per 7 minute average. Does EVERY paitient they admit have some personal link to the hospital? Sheesh. ANd Yeah, Meredith face looks like it's been pulled at a bit too much. Izzy is COMPLETELY unbelieveable as a "brilliant" intern or whatever they are supposed to be, and that f'n geaorge guy or whatever would have NEVER made it thruogh med scholl with the ego of a doormat.

Between this and Desperate housewives, which HAD some serious potential season 1, it's just turned into crap soap opera writing run amok. I think I have figured out the formula though;

1. Write a few very interesting episodes of a drama with lots of pretty people.
2. When you run out of ideas, start having everyone sleep with everyone else.
3. Decide what color Lamborghini you want.

You're 100% right, the shows are ridiculous. The one thing that gets me though is that while I can see through to the utter stupidity of it all, it's still entertaining. I have hard time complaining about a bad tv show or movie if, despite poor writing or casting or whatever, it's still entertaining.

I'm hooked on the show but kind of irritated with the whole Meredith-Dr. Shepherd thing. Personally, I think Meredith should stay with the vet. Also, the way George speaks, I don't like it.

Yeah, they could have it be more realistic and fire everyone every third show. They could show people that life sucks, because it does. That'd be a lot of fun to watch.

I referred to the Sandra Oh character as the "Sideways girl" when talking to my girlfriend the other day, and she got mad because I was being racist. I had to direct her to the imdb entry for Sideways.

A little while ago I saw some ad for a DVD with Heigl in it (the commercial aired during Grey's Anatomy), and figured that she'd be leaving the show. It looks like that's coming true, though I'm unconvinced that she'll make a big career for herself outside the show. She should call Wil Wheaton and ask him for advice.

Oh, and apparently Patrick Dempsey was married to some 48 year old when he was 21, so it stands to reason that he'd fall for a "27 year old" who looks 37.

Eh, my fiancee likes both this and Housewives. I sit on the couch losing money at poker while keeping an eye on the TV. There's occasionally some entertainment to be had. Why cause problems?

Also, I would have really enjoyed it if Meredith had gotten blown up by the RPG and they changed the title of the show to Grey's Anatomy...all over the walls.
