Marcus Vick - over/under 5th round

I think thats what bodog sportsbook has it at. weather or not he'll be drafted higher than the 5th round.

Any takers? I have no idea on sports betting. big VT fan, glad they booted him though.

what's the payouts? all i can say is if this bet was offered last year for Clarrett I would have lost a lot betting the over.

Yes +185: rounds 1 through 5
No -280: rounds 6 and below

so if he's drafted in the 5th round, that's still a win for "Yes".

er, I meant 5th round would be a loss for "no" since that's what I was considering betting and I assumed no one would actually take "yes".

If I were betting, I'd be betting yes.

At those prices I wouldn't bet at all, and if I had to I'd bet "Yes."

Straight up, I don't think he'll be drafted before the 6th Round, though.

2 names: Adrian McPherson and Cecil "the Diesel" Collins

Each had similar baggage, and both were drafted in the 5th round, and Vick will grade out higher than these guys. The only thing I would worry about is this new gun charge. If that's cleared up before the draft, he doesn't last past the 5th round.

If Al Davis is still running drafts for the Raiders, he'll take him in round 5.

McPherson wasn't drafted until after he had an excellent year in the Arena league.

I dont think he'll be drafted at all. What team is gonna want what he has to offer ? a bad attitude, and a player not good enough ot make it as a QB

Re: Marcus Vick - over/under 5th round

How does he grade out as a QB? I've never seen him play, amazingly. All I know about him is a SI article about him about 4 months ago, when they were touting him as a more "pocket friendly" Vick with much better accuracy. The article almost sounded like the younger Vick had more potential as an NFL-style pocket passer.

Obviously these criminal charges throw a huge wrench into things. But, the draft is a huge gamble anyway, if this guy is half the player of his older brother, I see a team rolling the dice on him in the first 5 rounds.
