Who will be the next Cub to cross home plate?

5 runs in the last 6 games including 3 shutouts. The Cubs are so painful to watch at the monent its almost entertaining.

Anyway, my money is on Derrek Lee being the next Cubs to score.

Damn, I was going to post a new thread entitled "OFFICIAL CUBS COULDN'T SCORE OFF A LITTLE LEAGUER" but you beat me to it.

My vote goes for Felix Pie in 2008.

Only way a Cub starter wins a game is by pitching a CGSO and hitting a solo home run. Obviously it'd be solo.

The guy did his best Brant Brown impersination but they still held them down. Maybe they will break though in the 14th tonight.

Cubs have had runners all over the place tonight against Peavy and yet still no runs. This is like Lakers game 7 pathetic.

Cubs are officially the worst team in baseball. Jacque Jones was an awesome FA signing.

I would much, MUCH rather be a fan of the Devil Rays (a team on the rise with good management) or the Mariners ([censored] management but at least it's not the [censored] Cubs) as opposed to the goddamn Cubs.

The Cubs are the absolutely worst-run team in the league, given their player talent in the farm system and total player ability. I hope Dusty Baker gets cancer.

Clines, the hitting coach, told Matt Murton that he needs "to stop taking so many pitches." Honest to God, that retard said that.

[censored] Chicago, and [censored] the Cubs. I hope they [censored] lose 100 games.

The Cubs will lose 100 games this year. Jim Hendry made a few nice trades early on in his career, but after that, the guy sucks. Dusty Baker is one of the worst managers in the game.

Go White Sox!!!! You can putitontheboard YESSS!!!

Oh yes, let's look at his track record when he's inherited teams with Barry Bonds and other superstars on them. Yes, I agree, Dusty Baker is a great manager because he went to teams with outstanding players.

You do realize there is little to no correlation between a manager and how well a team does, right?

Dusty Baker's effects can be seen on a daily basis: He tells his hitting coaches to instruct the kids to NOT TAKE PITCHES AT THE PLATE AND BE MORE AGGRESSIVE. What the dicks are you [censored] talking about you IDIOT?

Re: Who will be the next Cub to cross home plate?

Just when you think this team can't possibly embarass themselves anymore...

joe c 05-14-2006 04:18 PM

Re: Who will be the next Cub to cross home plate?

don't worry, they will continue to embarass themselves on a daily basis.

pretty soon they will be first in runs against to go along with being last in runs scored. will be pretty sweet.

does dusty make it til june 1st? outlook not so good.

Re: Who will be the next Cub to cross home plate?

i am openly hoping they lose every game now, changes might be made sooner then.
