Help settle an NFL argument
My friend and I are arguing about the best team in the NFC East. He says when healthy and when the Eagles don't have TO, the Giants are best.
I say it's the Skins. I think he's delusional. Thoughts? |
Re: Help settle an NFL argument
Should be a poll, you polltard.

Re: Help settle an NFL argument
It's obviously the Skins. They had the best division record, played the 2nd toughest schedule in the league, and were one bad call against Tampa in the regualr season, from winning the division and getting a first round bye.
The only team to beat Washington by more than 1 score this year was the Giants the week that Wellington Mara died. |
Re: Help settle an NFL argument
are you talking abour right now? or next year? or over the course of the year?
you may get a different answer to all 3 questions |

Re: Help settle an NFL argument
Yeeesh. Take my vote for the Giants with the knowledge that I'm a HUGE Giants fan. Over the course of the year, Giants. Right now, Skins. Bigger upside, Giants.

I'd lean towards the skins, but I think its close enough that one need not be delusional to disagree.

Re: Help settle an NFL argument
Right now? Clearly the Skins.
Normally (ie 100% health)? It's the Eagles, and it's not even close. |
Re: Help settle an NFL argument
You people are morons. The best team in the NFC east is the Patriots.

Giants
People may be skeptical of footballoutsider's rankings systems, but I find it hard to believe that any casual fans can claim to have more insight than pretty intelligent people who do statistical analysis |

And Aaron himself has said that the Skins are the hottest team in the NFC right now, let alone the NFC East. Which is why I said they are clearly the best team right now. FWIW, I would say the Giants have more potential over the next 3-4 years. Manning will get better, Brunell will probably decline. [ QUOTE ] Sorry bud. Philly's window is closed. The injuries are just a convenient excuse. [/ QUOTE ] Windows close when a team gets old. The Raiders window closed when Gannon, Brown, Rice etc. all got old. The Rams window closed when Faulk got old and Warner lost his touch (and Vermeil retired). The Eagles are a young team, and all their star players are signed for many years. They have only one notable free agent this year (Runyan). They are still the most talented team in the division, and their window is wide open. |
Re: Help settle an NFL argument
Not mention the skins lost to the entire AFC West division.
|
Re: Help settle an NFL argument
At the start of the year (before T.O. debacle), I thought the Eagles were the best in the division.
In the middle of the season I thought the Cowboys were just as equal to the Redskins and Giants, but after their multiple choke job obviously not. I will go and have to say the team still in the playoffs is the best team, so my vote is Redskins. For this year at least, who knows come next year. |
Re: Help settle an NFL argument
Skins have the best player in the NFL - Sean Taylor.

100% Serious, watch a few skins games...hes everywhere [/ QUOTE ] I live in NoVa. I'm a Jets fan but I watch all the Skins games. I've seen him play. He is pretty good. But definitely no where near the best in the league. He is probably the best player on the Skins Defense. I will give you that. He is also the best "SPITTER" in the league maybe in all of sports. I would like to seem him and Alomar have a contest. |
Better Spitter
BEST SPITTER who wins:
