Just so everyone knows, the soft-playing between the two of them is over. Not sure if anyone here cares, but some people seemed upset about it when it was made public.

this will surely relieve people's suspicions about some kind of collusion going on.

I'm still disgusted that they actually did that.

Why are you quoting that?

He asked me if I'd read about it, and I said yes... this was news on a few forums for awhile, so naturally I had read about it.

Re: H@££INGGOL and twin-caracas

I read in NVG something to the effect of H@LL "called it off without tilling twin," tilted twin, so he dumped a few stacks. Ask him if thats true, I hope it is.

If they did that, it didn't last very long.. I remember seeing twin taking a 14g pot over H@ll, 4 of a kind 8s vs J full vs some random guy with AA, sometimes in november.

[/ QUOTE ]hmmm, they only softplayed when it was just them left in the pot (supposedly), I didn't really see it though. With the third guy in the pot, all softplaying was off.

Re: H@££INGGOL and twin-caracas

Well. It is pretty standard to not battle it up against the other good regulars right? Many do it even if they dont do it by talking to the other guy.

FYI I did saw H@££ bluff on twin until river. But Twin called him down for a $2.6k pot.

eh, I had seen twin open in MP a couple months ago with ATo and HALL call OTB with QJo and the final board was ATJxJ, they checked it all the way.

Why would anyone believe this? Uh, we used to cheat, but now we don't! You should believe me because I just told you! You know, like how I didn't tell you back when I was cheating!

Re: H@££INGGOL and twin-caracas

I mean, they actualy admitted some kind of cheating.
Getting away now without any kind of punishment from the rooms side would just be horrible.

yea so 2 guys at a table, whenever its just them two in a pot, always check it down. not cheating?

how about 6 guys at a table, 5 softplayers and 1 fish. whenever the fish is in the pot, the 5 guys play regularly. whenever the fish isnt in the pot, they check it down. not cheating?

-Skeme- 04-30-2006 08:46 AM

Re: H@££INGGOL and twin-caracas

2 people checking it down HU isn't cheating on Stars. I don't see how the fish is affected in your example either. They aren't working together or sharing info against the fish.

Re: H@££INGGOL and twin-caracas

there's a difference between working together and soft playing.

soft play is pretty common in live games so apparently casinos don't consider it cheating

I saw some1 who is a well respected poster here do it once, during my pre 2p2 days and didnt think it was right.

Re: H@££INGGOL and twin-caracas

yves, skeme, others:

While many of us on this forum disagreed, Lee Jones said that this behavior was allowed by Stars in cash games. That is a primary reason I stopped playing at Stars.

-Skeme- 04-30-2006 03:54 PM

Re: H@££INGGOL and twin-caracas

I don't agree with it either, but it's not against Stars policy, thus, it's not cheating.

When you dropping the big 20,000th on us, El D? Make it a doozy.
