So I saw FullTilt's show on FSN today while I was eating dinner (oh god, Outback is so good) and something caught my eye.
They had a SNG going with a ton of the top pros. Ferguson, Matusow, Juanda, Ivey... HELLMUTH!? Is there something I'm missing? Why is Hellmuth doing a FullTilt show? He was pretty securely an UltimateBet guy.
Did everyone else already know this? Am I crazy? You wouldn't like me when I'm crazy.
If no one else noticed this, then I guess Hellmuth defected to FullTilt... until I hear a new explanation.

UB is allowing its top 3 "pros" (Duke, Hellmuth, Esfandiari) to appear on the Full Tilt FSN show.

Dude, this was not the only time a non-Full Tilt pro appeared in a Full Tilt show. Duke was on Play Poker like the Pros. Kid Poker was on Play Poker like the Pros. Hellmuth was on Play Poke like the Pros. I can go on and on and on...
Esfandiari is one of UB's top three pros?
Who's number four?
What is "FullTilt's show"? The invitational?

I'm shocked Antonio is considered in the top 3 too. I'd rank them 1) Phil 2) Devilfish 3) Annie Duke 4) Antonio

Devil Fish has his own Poker site now, so I guess that he has ended his association with UB.

I was watching Poker Superstars 3 this morning (also known as the All In fest - what happened to real poker?) and Eli Elezra had a FTP shirt on...
Is he on the team now?

That reads so sad -- their top 3 pros include Duke and Esfandiari?

Evelyn Ng's contract with PokerStars expired and was not renewed, for obvious reasons.
Bodog's deal isn't as good as what PokerStars offered.

Evelyn Ng had a losing year while she was under contract with PokerStars. Her results at big-buy-in tourneys were not good.
PokerStars did NOT renew Evelyn Ng, Erin Ness, and John Gale after their one-year deals expired.
In their place, PokerStars have signed Joe Hachem, Lee Nelson (Aussie Millions winner) and Steve Paul-Ambrose (winner of PokerStars Caribbean Adventure).
Hachem has a long-term deal. Paul-Ambrose only has a 1-year deal. Don't know about Nelson.
---
The deals that Bodog offered to David Williams, Josh Arieh, Evelyn Ng, etc. are essentially "staking" arrangements in which Team Bodog members have to replenlish the "buy in pool" every time they cash. They are only allowed to draw down the "buy in pool" only so much so they are under pressure to cash.
