Hello all, I am new to this forum regarding posting...but...I have been actively reading everything regarding the bill for several weeks now. I want to thank so many of you for your explanations, analysis, and patience in sharing your expertise on these issues. As a poker player I am obviously very concerned. I completely realize that I will probably be able to find a way to continue playing...but...obviously the real issue is how do we keep the bulk of the players playing, and at the same time easily allow the influx of new players to continue. I am obviously wondering ( as long as the isp's are'nt blocked) will the sites find a way for easy depositing? I'm not sure if everyone is aware as only a small percentage of the sites deal with Western Union. But...some sites do offer a western Union deposit option. Now...Western Union does not allow transfers regarding online gambling. Therefore...the sites use intermediaries to pick up the money for the site. For example...when you send money via western union to pokerstars...you are sending to Alberto Rodriguez ( for example) not the pokerstars site directly. The only reason imo that other sites do not use this option right now is becasue all of the other options are cheaper and easier. Until today...the western Union option was antiquated. But..how can the government possibly tell the differnce between a money transfer to another person and a money transfer to a poker site when an individual is used as an intermediary? Am I missing something? One can western union in a store location or over the telephone. The fees are quite high but...I would assume that the sites would pick up the fees if all the other options were deemed impossible to use. Now...please do not misunderstand. I am not jumping the gun here. I fully realize that lawyers will be looking into everything and it will take weeks/ months before we all really know what is being banned. ( e-wallets, etc). But...just as a back-up plan if they were....is there a lawyer or someone with some expertise on this issue that can tell me how the governement can possibly block these Western Union transfers? It seems impossible to me and clearly seems like the way of the future if all else fails. Additionally...the inconvenience is 5 minutes on the phone and really no big deal. Thanks again all, and I am looking forward to hearing Mr.K's, Berge's, and everyone else's thoughts
