Morals have to be used to give us some guidence in dealing with the outside world. They are not merely for yourself and how you deal with the world. Ignoring your own morals in evaluating the actions of others is a way of avoiding making difficult decisions. "I can't act, because I'd only be doing so based on my own morals." The difficulty lies in determining which of our morals should be applied to our evaluations and dealings with others and which differences should be overlooked or, perhaps, kept to ourselves.
