Okay, here's everything up to night 4:
One of the first things we decided right after started communicating in 3 way chat was that we should try to keep Perg alive as long as possible. After the hilarious Lori incident in the first game, we figured he'd come up with enough crazy theories on his own that he would cause a lot of confusion and divert attention away from us. We didn't expect him to come through quite so spectacularly
Night 1 Well we had to pick someone at random. Splashpot doomed himself by saying it sucks for whoever gets killed on the first night... sorry Actually we almost picked Bones due to some avatar-based rivalry with good2cu, though he presumably would have protected himself. We did get pretty lucky in that the seer wasted his turn checking Splashpot.
Day 1 We just needed to watch out in case any of us started getting multiple votes. I think 2 of us piled on Psyduck when he FPS'ed himself to death.
Night 2 GreekHouse and Kyro had started accusing each other during the day for whatever reason. So we thought if we kill one, we can successfully lynch the other the next day. But then we thought it's better to pace ourselves and not use up that strategy too soon. If we take out someone else, maybe GreekHouse and Kyro will blame each other and we can stir up more bitching between the villagers and keep the heat off ourselves.
So we decided to pick someone who hadn't said much, and the lucky winner was Caretaker1.
This was the night where it took ages to make a decision because someone was absent, and we ended up having to do that vote thing to get things moving. This is where I flagged Bennies as a potential seer/angel. We knew that all 3 wolves were accounted for, and so either the seer or angel must be the missing player holding the game up. Pretty much everyone had posted fairly recently in the end of day 1 voting, so I figured the most likely candidate was the one player who had signed up but never posted in the game thread AT ALL: Bennies.
Day 2 And BINGO BANGO BONGO, GreekHouse and Kyro come out swinging at each other, this is good for us. Lots of yada yada yada before Perg finally decides he's the seer and "outs" AL as a wolf, so we wolves immediately know he's lying and presuambly lying about being the seer unless he's FPSing. Everyone starts voting for AL. Now we're freerolling for the next day, we know AL will get lynched, revealed as a villager, Perg will be exposed as a liar, we kill someone else tonight and Perg will get lynched tomorrow!
At some point in the day, castanza_g lists me/good2cu/sjc as 3 people he thinks are acting suspiciously but this comment slips under the radar. This became funnier (and a bit worrying) when we later learned he was the seer.
Night 3 We decided to take a shot at Bennies after what happend on Night 2. If he was the seer, we'd be pwning. If he was the angel, although he'd deny us a kill by automatically be protecting himself, unless he actually came back to the game (or the seer happened to check him out), only the wolves would know who he was and we'd know for a fact that NOBODY is getting protection, and the seer would be dead if he ever outed himself. Unfortunately he was a [censored] villager
Day 3 Perg does a fairly good job of trying to get out of a lynching, but in the end he gets the chop.
Jgunnip and Kyro both commented on the choice of bennies but seemed to think we only suspected him as the angel. I'd be interested to know why they didn't think we might suspect him to be the seer as well...?
Night 4 This was an absolutely critical point in the game. Unfortunately good2cu was offline so it was just SJC and myself trying to figure out what to do here. It had occurred to me that the seer was playing really weird, because when Perg claimed to be the seer, basically EVERYONE apparently believed him and voted for Al. Surely the real seer would do something to stop that?
We went through the whole range of posts between Perg claiming to be the seer and AL getting lynched, a BILLION times, trying to find a clue. If anyone spoke up for Al or didn't vote for him or made some comment about not believing Perg, then surely that would make them the seer.
The fact that castanza_g just voted for Al and kept his mouth shut pretty much won (or at least un-lost) the game for the villagers IMO. If he'd done anything out of line, we would have eaten him that night. He was actually on our shortlist of possible seers, as the last person to change his vote to Al.
There were some other suspects as well, one of whom was TwistedEcho. He seemed to be talking a lot about the seer and what the seer should be doing etc. TwistedEcho said he's played the game something like 20 times before, and so we decided if there's some tricky seer play going on, TwistedEcho is the guy most likely to be doing it. Wrong again
