It is not that simple...

..but this does illustrate the paltry sums involved in buying influnce in Washington - where ate the contributions from those who profitted most from the poker boom.

Nowehere- they let us all down.

Sorry don't see them.

Interesting. I thought I read somewhere that B&M casinos liked online poker in that it created more poker players. And don't they want to get into online casinos at some point. And please don't tell me that this bill is a precursor to American companies opening up online casinos. I don't buy that at all.

They can't directly, but rather form proxies to do it for them. More interesting info: take a look at which candidates received the most money from the Casinos/Gambling sector

Top Recipients: Casinos and Gambling

Those should be the people targeted to get voted out of office (or at least a barrage of hate mail)

Also worth noting is that those contributions were for the years 1993-1998. B+M casinos were at one time against Internet gambling.
