$3000 Walmart Gift Card
$5000 for a Used car

$2000 a wide range of value for the FPP spent on concierge service.

btw- whats the difference between a giftcard at your favorite store (walmart/best buy/etc) and cash?!

I'd imagine they didn't pay the same number of FPP. The price for concierge service is 180k+.

Gift cards can be purchased in large quantities for a few points below face value. The higher quantity purchased, the greater the potential discount can be. This of course is in a macro sense, very little discount would be given for single 3K card. When you purchase 1M or more in Amazon certificates, I would estimate Stars should received at least 13-15 points in discount.

Just as an example, my Church sells a wide range of giftcertificates for us to use at Supermarkets, shopping and restaurants. They purchase them at discounts of 3%-15% depending on the store. We purchase these at face value, but the difference (discount value) goes towards our yearly membership fees. Our purchase amounts would pale in comparison to the volume Stars would use in its FPP program. Granted they are not a religous organization, but their volume of purchases would make up for it.

It'd be awesome to get some sort of Exxon or Mobil gas giftcards in the store. Almost as good as cash, and I don't see why that's not possible.

Any thoughts Scotty?

I'll second that one. With gas prices where they are, I am paying about $60 a week for gas. Gas cards would be VERY appreciated. Maybe $100, $500 and $1,000 denominations??

Totally agree.

I don't go anywhere or do anything, but it's still a good idea.

so how exactly does this concierge service work? you pay 180k fpp, and then make requests, and pay more fpp for them?

I guess you just ask for something and they give it to you at some FPP/$ rate.

eBay has group insurance for some portion of their online sellers. You can't find a bigger group of unhealthy computer geeks than that, not to mention a substantial percentage of outright criminals.

Ebay isn't actually offering group healthcare. It's just a marketing vehicle for individual insurance (an affinity program). The underwriting is less stringent than if you applied on your own, though.

Still, you do have to pay your own premiums, and they are equivalent to the premiums you'd pay if you got your own individual insurance (namely, not good).

Also, you need to have a huge amount of sales activity/feeback to qualify (ie...you are running a business). This would pretty much weed out the frauds.
