Equity Against a Range
#13125855 - 11/26/07 04:35 PM

On the Pokerstove website, they are nice enough to provide tables with all of the equity matchups for two starting cards: http://www.pokerstove.com/analysis/preflopeq.php

Is there anywhere online where I can find the equivalent but for starting hands vs a %calling range rather than an explicit card?

For example, AK vs 5% range, AK vs 10% range, AK vs 15% range, etc.

I realize this can be calculated using the hand vs hand matchups or by manually putting it one-by-one into PokerStove but just wondering if it's out there already?

Thanks...

I don't think you'll find this online in a spreadsheet or something. Just use stove to calculate your equity versus ranges. Calculating equities against ranges is a little more difficult than against specific cards due to card removal effects. It's basically the weighted equity against every combination in the range.

However, I do have a C++ class that can calculate the equity of different ranges against each other if you're interested.

I'd be interested in looking at this. Could you PM me? Thanks.
