from what I understood this was the standard way for AP to send out tournament HH files, if requested by mail

not standard, but they have done it before

I cant remember details. Short convo. Canada seems to ring a bell. I am in no way saying Seif is involved with this. What if this guy sold out and held onto this "superaccount"?

Where is the reasoning for the CEO to risk everything for a million or so $?

Can we be sure he is the only one USING that IP?

Whoa, time out here. The IP address that appears to have been feeding Potripper everyone else's hole cards is tied back to the residence of one of the owners of AP?

WTF?

this appears to be the case.

I can't even believe what I'm reading..

Because if it weren't for a series of incredibly boneheaded moves - playing every hand, making very improbable looking decisions, sending out HHs with IPs and emails for the taking - there shouldn't really have been much risk involved at all.

Dunno if anyone hit this yet, but the Domain Discreet thing that some were confused about earlier, as I understand it is a very very common service. I own a few domains myself and used a similar service so that my name + address didn't come up in the WHOIS search. In the US if you "own" a domain you are legally required to put your correct contact info up there on the domain registration for everyone to see-- so there are other companies like DD who you can pay $30/yr to "take ownership" of the domain and put their corporation's contact info in your place, protecting your ID from spammers and the like.
