Quote: Let's face it, the thing that would really jump-start interest is if a couple of big time internet SNG wizards played - Johnny Bax is just one of many that immediately comes to mind.
Sooooooooooooooooooo when did Bax become a SNG legend? Was it the same time Brandi won the WSOP ME?
Feel free to mention other SNG wizards, but I thought of Bax because he was on the SNG leaderboard for 2006 (data courtesy sharkscope) and is a well-known name.
I wasn't having a go pal, sorry if you got upset. Just Gigabet springs to mind Re SNG's while Bax et. al = MTT.

This week's show seems promising, if you enjoy friendly banter between players.
Gus' bent over comment was funny..
FWIW I enjoy a good lineup on PAD more than an average WPT FT and ESPN's wsop coverage. Yes they screwup with some bad lineups some weeks, but with the ladies week you knew it wasnt going to be anything special so I didnt bother watching.

And in a brilliant episode of Arrested Development, Henry Winkler's character (the lawyer) was on a pier talking to someone, and when he exited the scene he lightly hopped over a shark that was just lying there. There was no other mention of it in the show and it ruled.
ROFL, wish I'd seen that one.
I could not find that one, [censored] copyright

PAD has not even come close to "jumping" the shark. If you like poker and enjoy seeing it played at its highest level with the worlds best players, then there are only 2 shows you should be watching. Poker after dark and High Stakes Poker, one is a winner take all tourney and the other a full on cash game. Poker reduced to its basic elements, math & psychology. I suggest you give PAD another try and turn your TIVO season pass back on since PAD is airing all original programming for the next 5 weeks.

Not close to jumping shark. ALthough they need to do a few new things to keep it interesting.

I thought last week was one of the best so far, so I disagree with the premise of this thread.
Yeah, last week was genius, largley cause of hellmuth's performance/whining, but also cause of how hard Doyle owned him. And this week has been good so far, especially Gus Hansen's banter.
One of the funniest moments ever happened this week when Lindgren, Negreanu and Lederer are all debating whether Tuan Le could have gotten away from K9 facing a river raise on a KQ9JK board, and basically decising that he could have. A few seconds later Gus says "I love when the pros debate folding Kings full on the river.. I just love that" and starts mocking them.

Outside of High Stakes, I think PAD is the second-best poker show out there. Slow blind levels. 100 BB to start. You get to see every hand. And the table talk is pretty interesting sometimes.
