on flop i think just call. u are behind to any K and if someone doesnt have Kx or 55 here they cant continue and you wont get any value out of them.

I think calling is fine. Personally, I think it's read dependent. And if you're getting 2-1 here, he's probably bluffing enough or is behind enough to make it ok to call.

By checking behind here, you're asking him to take it away. (edit: on the turn that is)

And BTW, I think a hand like TT or 99 or whatnot is possible here. Hard to tell with no read.

I think checking the turn was a mistake, it gave him the option on the river to make a huge bet and take the pot away. You almost have to fold because of his bet. I would have bet the turn, and hope to check-check the river.

you do realise that you just argued a reason why checking is better than betting, right? do you see why?

don't 3bet that flop. Most the time I just c/c it and play it really slow
