Hi,
I just uploaded version 0.01 (testing) to overcards.com.
Seems to be working stable, not all requests implemented yet - but they will be
http://overcards.com/wiki/moin.cgi/StarsSNGOpener
Bear in mind, while I have made images / menu entries etc for what I believe to be all levels of Stars SNGS, my bankroll (and SNG skills lol) only stretch to testing on the 3.40s and 6.50s. Every level should work, but I have no idea if they actually do... please let me know and also please let me know if it gives you any problematic behaviour / bugs - I will get it fixed.
I'm quite enjoying these SNGs so far, maybe I'll stick with them for a bit
Also please don't hesitate to suggest any more ideas,
dave.

stars had an update today. I don't know if that may be the reason, but it doesnt work for me.
The register button looks a bit different than the old one, and since you're using imagesearch i believe, it might be different now?

I should have added this in the last post...
You need to be using today's PokerStars update (client version 2.066 IIRC) are you?
Does it select them in the lobby?
EDIT: you need to be running 32bit colour depth also, I can think of no reason not to these days, but WinXP does not always use this as default...

Im almost positive its the register button.
Stars client keeps popping up on desktop. Seems to be clicking somewhere but not able to find the register button.
Im gonna make a new image, and see if that works. Im gonna give up if I get the coordinates wrong though, I gotta grind.

it still doesnt work with the latest version of PS, I've tried 16's and 6's. I have 32 bit 1400*1050 display.
It doesn't select the tournaments in the lobby

The image set I packaged is from today's update
what happened after it registered for the one? did it "un-grey" al the controls that are greyed out while it is running?

Don't worry about co-ordinates, they should be big enough to cover most of the button.
ANYONE HAVING TROUBLE (sounds lika all of you )
edit the script in notepad, set debug := 1 save and reload.
This makes it too slow for normal use, but it highlights the areas it is searching for in red... should make troubleshooting easier.
EDIT: whoops, tired... thankyou Bastian

Okay lol.
It clicks on the sng, then seems to miss the register button, then starts clicking down the client window where the list of games are.

ok here you go: I'm trying with 16's the red thing goes through each tournament it goes all the way to a 16, and then goes on the corresponding tournament ID and that's it
output from the debug is "1" at the start, and then "70 159" when it arrives on the ID (I dont know where that number comes from)

The red overlay doesn't match up? or it does but it does not click it? coinfused how this would be different between our computers...
EDITED TO ADD: if it moves on to the next one, it is not matching the register button I think.

This means it has got a suitable tournament, 1 means no match, "70 159" is the client co-ordinates for the matching tourney.
It then looks at the ID (so it can remember you are registered for this one), and it should then highlight and then click the register button - it does not?

Im pretty sure it doesnt seem to click the register button unless you select continuous.
This is where its clicking, it doesnt look like its missing the register pixel in your image provided.

Bah, I should have remembered this from BetPot co-ordinates problems... I thought I accounted for this already
You are on WindowsXP theme, yes? at least not on "Windows classic" theme like I am?
Looking in to a fix now...
EDIT: confirmed, co-ordinates miss when I set to "large fonts" and "windows XP" theme... fix will be quick...
EDIT2: DAMN I AM ANNOYED, it is a bleeding TYPO!!!!

I'm running @ 32-Bit 1024x768 and am getting the same problems. The red bar looks through the tournies, finds the one I'm looking for (6.50 in this case) flashes on the tourny #, then starts all over without registering.

I'm still getting the same highlighting the name all the way down then rapidly highlighting the tournament ID, but never registering (debug output "70 183"). I'm running the default Windows XP theme (default everything including text size, etc.) at 32-bit color depth, 1600x1200.

Does it ever highlight the register button area?
I'm gonna have to sleep now, I'll getr straight on to trying to figure out what is casing problems here as soon as I get ack from work tomorrow evening.
It has worked for me on any WinXP settings I could select tonight

As far as I can tell it never highlights anywhere near the register button. Sometimes it gives different debug outputs, always "70 150-180ish".

No it never highlights the registration area, just goes back to the top of the list and finds the right buy in then highlights the ID and starts over again.
Thanks a lot for making this and all of your other programs as well.

Okay, it seems to work fine if I do the $3+$0.40's but only if I select the "Micro" tab at the top (which makes it so only those tournaments show up). If I try the same buyin under the "Turbo" or "All" tab it doesn't work nor does it work if I go under the "Low" tab and try the $6+$0.50, etc..

Is the idea that it registers for the next one only after the previous has started (or started seating)? It seems to be working with Handsome's script on too. I'd like to disable the lobby-closer tho or maybe have the lobbies close with a hotkey.
edit - It seems to count HH-windows as open tables. And cashier window too.

ok so it works for me on the $3.40's as well, even in the turbo and micro tabs, so could it be a problem with the $6.50 images?

Are you supposed to be able to click the "Table Opener ON" box? It's not letting me. Also nothing shows up in the drop down list. Don't know if a setting on my computer is wrong or if that's how it's supposed to be.

This is what happened to me when I just copied the script into a blank ahk file. You need to download the entire files with the script and image folder.

_dave_,
I got your script to work for awhile. After awhile, the script randomly stops opening sngs until i "jump start" it by manually opening an sng by myself. Also, it doesn't seem to keep track of the # of registered sngs very well so it will just keep registering more and more even when the total will end up being over the specified amount. "session total" doesnt seem to keep track correctly either.
Also, the script is annoying when it grabs attention to the lobby. I use keyboard shortcuts and they dont work so well when the lobby keeps stealing focus.
Will future versions of the script have a memory to remember the settings?
Thanks for all the work.
edit: i believe your script also has run into the lobby closing problem that i mentioned earlier. i have 3 sngs that are unaccounted for that i never played in but im missing the money to.

You need to download and install Autohotkey (www.autohotkey.com). Once you have this loaded it should open up correctly.

you rock dave. i'm no programmer but for your testing, could you add a temporary section of code that registers for the tourneys, checks if your registered (to know it worked) then unregisters you so you dont have to actually play them? just a thought i had. **I posted this right before your post got split by mod. not sure if you saw it or not** Good luck debugging!

The red 'thingy' selects the correct SNG, but it doesn't register. It just starts over again.
BUT it does work when I select the correct SnG, in other words: when I highlight the right SnG, (so that it's blue) it does register.

I had the same problem, i also had similar issues with Stars Planner.
If i start the Stars Opener direct from the folder it was extracted to, i get entries in the drop down menu's. Once i highlight my chosen buy-in i can then check the Table Opener ON box, but not before.
If i try to access it via the start menu - in my case - Start/My Documents/Poker/AHK Scripts i get nothing in the drop down menu and it doesn't work.
Conversely, the exact opposite applies with planner...i see only one of my table layouts direct from the folder, but all 3 from the start menu.
Anyway, i tried it out today with 3 tourney's set at continueous. It would only register if i highlighted the tourney in the lobby myself.
After i busted out of 1, it would not register for anymore even if i manually highlighted it.
It then crashed my pc (at the bubble ) and i had to reboot.
So, i lost 2 $6.50 buy-ins trying it out, but i knew it was buggy - my fault.
I'm using it alongside planner if that matters ?

Sorry all STTFers for my absence - Xmas / NYE is quite the busy time for me, not much time to write code
I am however taking notice of all reports here, and will be back to work soon enough, now that the drinking season is over.
Happy New Year STTF

i think the reason why itīs only working when the tournament is highlighted, is because PS changed the color of the letters from blue to green. So just when itīs highlighted itīs the same as before the update (white letters on blue ground). iīve the same problems here. Will there be an update of the PSSNGO soon? thank you.
