I would just like to say that EPP has worked excellently for me, although I am only a low stakes player, and I haven't actually attempted to get money out of them at any point. After I have my recent bills caught up, I'm going to get their ATM/real VISA, and hopefully continue to be as happy as the proverbial lark.

My only complaint is that it usually takes a day or two for a site to get funds INTO the EPP account, but it takes less than a second for funds to transfer to the site from the EPP account. :|
I think that's pretty standard though?

Hey guys just wanted to see if anyone had similar experience, my charter one bank card works fine with epassporte and i have withdrawn to my charter one bank from there with no problem (only 3-4 days btw not bad at all), now I tried to link my chase card and it was declined.
I called chase and they told me that they can't do any transactions with epassporte since they were informed by federal reserve that the company transacts with gambling sites only, I talked to a manager and he wouldn't lift a block for epassporte for me.
Do you think they will accept bank wires from epassporte or will bounce them back ???

Hi All,
I recently got epassporte all set up.Took 10 days+a couple of weeks for card to arrive.I used card at atm once and it worked just fine.I Tried to use Virtual Visa at Itunes, they shot back and said "no,please use an American Visa."

My question to all- Where have you had succsess with Virtual Visa?Anyone had any success/failure At Amazon,DEll etc.?

I think it would be a great thing to have a list of places (both online and b+m where we would all know what to expect.

Ill start. Virtual visa did not work for Me at I tunes.

Thanks.

I made my initial deposit to epassporte using a Prepaid Mastercard, so I haven't even hooked up any bank info or anything.

""My epassporte experience.

Created account through eppassporte's website.

Use my bank debit card to load my account. This would be the equivalent of loading using a credit card. Receive my pending transaction immediately. Verified pending transaction. Money was avaible. From Stars cashier page, clicked on epassporte, entered my account info and funds were there immediately. Took about 10 minutes total.

Added my bank account as another funding method. Received 2 micro deposits 8 business days later. I have not funded epassporte or withdranwn using this method.

1st cashout from Stars to epassporte. Took a small cashout from Stars to epassporte on Friday night. Original deposit was in epassorte account immediately. Remaining funds above my original hit my epassporte account on Wednesday.

One morning for no reason my epassporte balance went to -$2.00, but was back to correct amount in the afternoon.

Paid my cell phone bill using the virtual visa.

Cashed out again from Stars to epassporte. Took about 3 hours for funds to hit my epassporte account.

Signed up at FTP and deposited using epassporte. Funds were available on FTP immediately.

So my experience has been mostly positive. If I needed to cashout funds I would request a check. Not sure epassporte is the best method for withdraw.""

Just wanted to add, made 1st Cashout from FTP to Epass this weekend. FTP --> Epass ~4 hours

This was the last post of the last thread and I don't think anyone saw it:

[censored] epassporte. [censored] this [censored] piece of [censored] company.

I forgot to notify the company before traveling to Thailand. This was a little negligent on my part, but obviously understandable. I made two withdrawals in Thailand and they froze my account. Totally understandable. But they never actually notified me that my account had been locked. I was even able to log in normally, check my balance etc. Only when I tried to send a peer transfer did I get a message informing me my account was temporarily suspended. WTF? [censored] [censored].

I then sent them a message on the internal message thing. I waited three days and heard nothing. I couldn't call them because my Vonage phone wouldn't work on the [censored] POS backwater internet connection we had. Finally we got our new connection and I called them. I was informed I would be getting an email. When a similar thing occurred with neteller, all they needed to do was call me and ask me some basic security questions. Epass wants a picture of my dick:

Quote:
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
• A Copy of a Government Issued Photo ID
• A Copy of a voided check
• A Copy of the most recent bank statement of the checking account
• A Copy of the Front AND Back of the Credit/Debit card used to load the ePassporte Account.
• A Copy of the most recent statement of the Credit/Debit card used to load the ePassporte Account, which clearly displays your address (or a copy of a Utility bill with legible address, if not on your Credit/Debit card statement).

Obviously I don't travel with a copy of my bank statement and canceled checks. So I explain that I'm in foreign country and don't have my bank statement, but happily provide extra information like scans of my visa stamps and even a picture of me holding my passport.

I hear nothing for 3 1/2 days.

I call them again and they tell me there was a problem and my pictures were never actually sent along with my message.
Great [censored]! Thanks for the fantastic [censored] communication!

I resend the information, don't hear anything for 24 hrs and call them. "We'll send you an email soon!" [censored] wonderful. It only took them another 12 hours.

I get an email telling me that the debit card I sent in is wrong and that they still need my bank statement. I reply and tell them that card I scanned is a replacement because I lost the original. It has my name, is from the same bank, and has an expiration date several months after the original. This shouldn't be a problem, right? I once again tell them that I don't have my most recent bank statement because I'M IN A FOREIGN [censored] COUNTRY AND CAN'T GET MAIL. HOW [censored] DENSE CAN YOU BE? I ask if screenshots from my online account will be ok.

48 hours pass.

I just called them and explain my situation. I'm told that I need A [censored] LETTER FROM THE MOTHER [censored] BANK EXPLAINING THAT MY CARD WAS REPLACED. LOOK [censored], I'M IN A FOREIGN [censored] COUNTRY AND CAN'T GET MAIL FROM MY BANK. The rep says he'll talk with his supervisor about it. After a few minutes he gets back on the line. Nope, they still need A [censored] LETTER FROM THE MOTHER [censored] BANK. I ask if a screenshot from the online banking site will be ok. He says he doesn't know. "YOU DON'T KNOW? HOW THE [censored] CAN YOU NOT [censored] KNOW? I'M OBVIOUSLY WHO I SAY I AM AND AM IN [censored] THAILAND WHERE I CAN'T RECEIVE MAIL." He says he's sorry, but it's company policy verify this. On the plus side, they seem to no longer be caring about the bank statement. [censored] this [censored] company.

I just sent in screenshots of purchases made with my old card and another showing the address matching what epass has on file. How long until they try to [censored] me some more? [censored] you [censored] you [censored] you. If anyone from epass is reading this, [censored] you, your [censored] company is going to go [censored] bankrupt. And you're unknowingly raising another man's child.

So basically what you're saying, is that you should have notified them before you left the country, because that seems to be the problem right there.

Granted, they could help you out by keeping up better contact, but it sounds like they are just following procedures by the book and need whatever verification they need. I know its frustrating as hell, but it doesnt sound like they are going to give any leeway.

Call friends, family, whoever you need to swing by your place and sort through and get whatever papers you need and them have them fax them to epassporte.

Besides the initial load fee to Epass are there any fees associated with transferring money between sites, like taking money from FTP putting it in Epass then loading it on to Pokerstars? Does a deposit need to be made before withdrawing from a specific site.

I think you have to make an initial deposit first to a site then you can withdraw all you want.

ePass won't go in with a site that does sportsbetting. They're keeping their nose clean so the feds can't go after them.

$5000 Daily Limit. [Re: Mike Haven]
      #9816544 - 04/02/07 11:21 PM

i have received a lot of questions about my epassporte experiences.

i have a $5k withdrawal limit at ATMs or using the visa. i got my limits increased by faxing them information.

i have 2 personal epassporte visa and one business visa all with the same limits. you are allowed 3 personal accounts and multiple business accounts.

there is no fee to withdraw money from your visa (or from any poker site to epassporte).

when i first got the visas over 3 years ago many places wouldn't accept them. now it is unusual to come across a merchant who won't accept them.

the phone service is awful, and the information they tell you is often incorrect. i now always ask for a supervisor.

I remember reading that people could withdrawal up to $600 at an ATM in 24 hours using the physical Visa. I believe my limit is only $320. Any idea why this is? What am I missing? Thanks.

Okay here is my problem:

I verfied my checking account fine but my debit card is being blocked by my bank (yes I called them) so there is no way to get another
funding source (my Chase Mastercard doesn't work either).

So, does anyone know if you can get a prepaid visa and use that as a funding source for epass? I just want to be able to up my limits and I cannot do that without verifying 2 deposit options.

Why not just open up another checking account?

Checking.

I selected credit and it was fine....don't know that it matters

Does using the card to withdraw at an ATM work at non-US banks? How's the exchange? Is it just the $2 fee? Does your bank also charge a fee?

Can a wire-transfer be done in any currency or just USD?

FYI for those that need to make tons of $600 withdrawals:

In my state Nevada, the following banks have no foreign card fee:
Wells Fargo (maybe everywhere?)
Nevada State Bank

Quick update: can you still load epassport with giftcard.com virtual Visa? Or do you have to use the Walgreen's option?

Do these cards physically exist? If your account is ever investigated you will need to provide scans of the cards or a letter from your bank saying your card was lost.

Can canadians use their checking account to load/withdraw from? Doesn't seem like it from their FAQ.. So epassporte's only way of withdrawing for me would be through their Visa Card correct?

One of my purchases was just declined.

Anyone familiar with this:

"Some ePassporte functionality is currently undergoing maintenance. Your balance will appear as $0.00 and many functions will not be available until maintenance is complete. We apologize for the inconvenience and we are working to resolve this matter immediately."

Im an adult webmaster who stumbled across this thread after googling epass. Ive been using them for 7 months, most adult webmaster affiliate programs offer payment via epass. I am an American living in the Czech Republic, it is esp handy for me. 20 to 30 paper checks arriving a week is a pain in the ass.

I read these threads and they scare me. I have had zero problems with my epass. Dozens of transactions a week, I use my atm card all over Czech Republic, I even used it in Russia with no problem. I figured if anything would get an epass account locked it would be atm transactions in Czech Rep one day, and then somewhere in the Russia the next. I even had a situation in Russia where the transaction went through, it made its atm noise like it was shooting out money... but no money came out. Epass caught it. Not a single problem with epass.

I promise I am not a paid kiss ass. There are some good threads on adult webmaster boards about whats going on with Wells Fargo and EPass.

Notify them if you plan on traveling. See my post above. Now that they've accepted my documents, they tell me it's going to be another 7-10 (business?) days before someone can get around to unlocking my account. If you can go without being able to access epass for a month, you have nothing to worry about.

ePass won't go in with a site that does sportsbetting. They're keeping their nose clean so the feds can't go after them.

But the load on to poker sites that have blackjack and other casino games?

Some webmasters were notified by Wells Fargo that they are no longer accepting transactions to or from EPass. And from what I gather atm cards have not been working for a couple days. I havent tried mine yet to test the theory.

EPass have representatives on GFY, big adult webmaster board. Search there if you want to see a few hundred threads of EPass horror stories.

I talked to EPASS twice today. First time they told I hadn't waited 24 hours to withdraw even though I had and then said "It JUST reset" so I said OK and went to the ATM, no dice. Called back and they said the "technical team" would look into it and it would take 7 to 10 business days. I decided not to argue as the CS reps have no clue or no power, but something isn't right obv.

I joined this forum to comment on this subject...

I transferred money out of a poker site to epassporte for the first time yesterday, $1000 from stars. I tried withdrawing $300 back to the same linked US checking account that I used to deposit with and it said "We cannot process your transaction at this time." Now the $300 plus the $2 fee are deducted from the original $1k and are listed as "outstanding" transactions. As usual I cannot get through to them on the phone and get no response to emails. Has this happened to anyone else?

As far as pending transactions etc, don't worry about those it will take some time but they will make things right. I've had to deal with CS there a ton of times and they eventually get things right if you pester them.

I called their normal CS line 3 times today waited at least a half an hour each time twice got through once got hung up on. Don't misconstrue my post, they don't steal your money but if I have no way to withdraw there is a problem, obv.

Thanks.

Update: the note on my account statement next to the $300 withdrawal has changed from "outstanding" to "matched." This probably either means that it is now going to go through, which wouldn't make sense because it said the withdrawal failed, or they are hardcore screwing me.

Just rememeber if you only can do $300 a day then you have to wait 24 hours till the next withdrawl. If you did one at 2pm today you can not do one till after 2pm tomorrow for the next one.

Make sure your account isn't suspended--this is how I found out. You log in and everything looks normal but I went to Transfer Funds-->Individual Transfer and only then did it tell me me account was suspended. Typical brilliance from this POS company.

Called epassporte and was told their "computers were down all of Wednesday and half of yesterday" so that should explain most of this, assuming it is true.

Waited on hold 47 minutes..... got bored, opened stars and won $2.2k during that time, even though I told myself I wouldn't play today.

Thanks, ePassporte.

Hey, bassically i tried opening an epassporte account awhile ago, and lets just say i had a hell of a lot of trouble getting my checking account set up with them.

A site i play is having some check cashout issues but suposidly are doing epass within 24 hours.

Can i -
1. Open an epass account.
2. Use a pre-paid visa to fund it, just so its verified
3. Cashout of said site onto Epass (You do not have to have made a deposit with epass on this pokersite to withdraw.
4. deposit onto stars or somewhere i know i will get a check from in a timely manner.

All the while having no way to have no bank account hooked up to my epass.

Will this work.

Furthermore, will the deposit via the pre-paid be instant?

Thank you!

No this won't work because to use epassporte you first have to verify your funding method which I think would be impossible with a prepaid card.

Spoke to Michael Olsen. He said there was a technical error last night not causing limits to be reset and said within the next hour or two things will be back to normal. Hopefully this is all true

Why don't you just try it if you don't believe me? There is no risk involved in your plan if it does not work.

Nicky: Does that mean you upgraded to "Select" membership to raise your limits? If so, did you have to reg. a second bank account to be eligible, or did a credit card work?

This actually will work. My friend just got an epassporte account set up this way, no bank account involved. One type of pre paid card didnt work and I cant remember which one he went with though. PM me so I dont forget and Ill let you know next time I talk to him.

i registered my debit card and paid the $5 and was upgraded. however, my atm withdraw limit stayed at $320. i shot them an email asking why it wasn't $600, they replied 2 weeks later telling me they had raised my ATM withdraw limit to $620.

I need to leave soon so i dont have time to read through this entire thread.

Question -

If i withdraw from a pokersite to Epass, is there any fee? Say i just withdrew $200, how much is showing up in my account once processed?

Thanks

Well, I've read a few "Success" threads, but I guess one more won't hurt.

I signed up for EPass on March 22nd(I think). They informed me the money would be available on April 4th. The money was available when I got home from work. Deposited to Pokerstars. Took some patience but it worked. Haven't requested the card yet. I also am with a credit union, and not a major bank. Not sure if that helps anyone. I doubt I will keep much money in it though. The lion's share of my money will probably stay in PS, and be cashed out through check. With Netteller getting frozen, I don't want to worry about that. Hope this helps.

I want some honest, opinionated responces on how safe people feel keeping money on epassporte is after seeing what happened with neteller. Is it only a matter of time?

Also, why is this not the next neteller, it seems a fairly small amount of people have gone to epassporte. Why is this?

I applaud Epassporte for stepping up.

Sure I wish the set up was quicker - That would help new blood and other fish get money to our favorite poker sites. However I signed up understanding it would take some time to get a debit card etc..... and have had no problems.

I have cashed out from my rake-back site and full tilt to the VISA debit card. Both cashouts appeared the next day. I have used the debit card at restuarants, gas pumps and ATM's.

I hear crying about the fee's. Ugh..FYI. They are a business providing a valuable service to us. I am sure not going to sweat a few dollars here and there.

By the way, I haven't tried, but I doubt there is restrictions for using the VISA card to deposit into non epassporte poker sites and sports books.

In these times of uncertainty (Thanx to Mr. Frist) I will limit my exposure at ony one e-bank, poker site or sports book. That just seems prudent given the situation.

I will however always keep enough $$$ at those places to play comfortably the limits I want to play.

My experience thus far:

The Good:
Pokerstars to Epassporte transfer took less than 6 hours.

The Bad:
I am told by BillMatrix (a utility bill payment processor in the US) that my Epass card does not pass Visa's automatic address verification and they refused to accept the payment. Epass CS tells me to have BillMatrix call them to verify my address. BillMatrix refuses to call for verification, stating (in not so many words) that they won't deal with a company that is providing Visa numbers that can't pass Visa's own security checks.

The Ugly: Epass CS tells me to have BillMatrix fax them some info to have the authorization canceled and the funds returned to my available balance. BillMatrix does this as I'm on the phone with them. Epass CS states it will be 24hours maximum before the funds are returned to me. That was 30 hours ago.

Summary: Epass may not pass some (any?) of Visa's security checks. I'd suggest contacting the merchant before purchase or you may be forced to deal with removing pending authorizations from your epass balance.

"According to our records, your cash outs cannot be sent to your epassporte

I log into my epassporte account and everything seems to be fine... I have sent multiple emails to epass, and have gotten no response.

Any Idea what I should try to do?

Has anyone taken money from their Epassporte account and transferred it to their PayTru card?

I ask because I don't have a epassporte card yet, but I do have a Paytru card and I'm heading to AC this weekend.

If someone has both but hasn't tried, would they mind trying a small amount to let me know?

Well, I have had my first bad experience with ePass. I was trying to get funds returned to my account from declined transactions (which is a pain in itself), and they locked my account. Now I need to send the following docs:

A Copy of a Government Issued Photo ID
A Copy of a voided check
A Copy of the most recent bank statement of the checking account
A Copy of the Front AND Back of the Credit/Debit card used to load the ePassporte Account.
A Copy of the most recent statement of the Credit/Debit card used to load the ePassporte Account, which clearly displays your address (or a copy of a Utility bill with legible address, if not on your Credit/Debit card statement).

I will send it all, and it shouldn't be TOO big of a pain. It is unfortunate, though.

Just received the PS support answer:

Having discussed this matter with our Payments team, I am now aware that
there is currently a technical problem causing your cashout option to not
be correctly available. This is currently affecting all players and is not
specific to your account.

Our technical team are working on this issue right now and we hope to have
the matter corrected as soon as possible. At this stage I can only ask you
to bear with us.

I apologize sincerely for the inconvenience here.

They might have frozen your account if you have over 5K in there. They freeze it until you send in ID. This happened to me, but it's been over a week and they still haven't reopened my account even though they confirm that they have received my docs. EPass is a f'ing joke. This is what happens when you push online gambling underground.

Here's something odd.

I called ePass today and, among other things, asked about the $5/$100 fee on the initial load from a checking account. I asked because when I initiated the load last week, the system was telling me the fee was going to be $5 no matter how much I deposited. I tested different amounts and it was always $5.

So, I asked the guy if that was right and he said yes, it's only a $5 flat fee when loading from a checking account. $2 flat fee for reloads.

I told him that the website needs updating. If this really is true (and I'll see when the deposit hits on Monday), this makes ePass much better.

I'm still waiting for them to remove an authorization from my account. They were faxed the information 3 days ago and I was told it would be a maximum of 24 hours.

Called support not long ago and was told that there was a big stack of faxes and mine might be in there, but they didn't have time to look. CS rep could not tell me how long this "big ol' stack" of faxes had been piling up. Yes, I heard "Uhhh.....well.....there's a big ole' stack of faxes so..." about 5 times during the call.

I was told to call back in a couple hours and the manager "should" (again, a direct quote) be able to look in the pile for me.

You don't fax these documents to them, you scan and email these documents to them. You'd better call them and ask for a ticket number before you send in your documents. It usually takes 7 business days (maybe longer) for them to get back to you. Whenever you call them or email, have you ticket number handy. Yes, Epass is slow, but they handle all tickets well. I have sent in the documents like 5 times, and all problems ended up solved.

This fax has nothing to do with my account info. Epass needs a fax from the merchant that placed an authorization on my account. This merchant refuses to accept the payment because of Epass' failure to pass Visa automated security checks.

If Epass does not process this fax, the hold on my account will persist for 31 days.

Tonight's story as told to me by Epass CSR: The fax number given on the web site and on the epass automated phone menu doesn't work (even though this fax number is listed for use for my exact problem). That is the number for their corporate headquarters and the fax machine is not working for some mysterious reason. Tonight's CSR was the best of the bunch for sure. He finally gave me a ticket number after 4 or 5 calls to 3 or 4 different CSRs. He also gave me a new fax number.

No, I'm not hounding them. I was instructed to call back by the previous CSRs in the optimistic hope that their manager would have had time to sort through what was described as a large stack of faxes.

I don't get the gut feeling that Epass is shady, but rather in over their heads. Every call to customer support is an adventure. I wish I had recorded them for the nuggets of humor. Tonight's highlight was some anonymous CSR in the background saying so loudly that it bled over into my conversation, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO LOG INTO A WEBPAGE??? ARE YOU SERIOUS??"

LMAO.

PBJaxx, I'm in the same boat trying to get limits raised. Faxed 2-3 days ago - no response so far. Getting money to and from Stars & FT doesn't seem to be a problem. Getting money out is turning Neteller'ish.

I have successfully pulled $4K over the last few weeks, and I have paid ~$1K in bills. Unfortunately, now it is all messed up. Once my account is opened up again, I plan to continue using them, though, as they seem to be the best option

I want to play at a site that does not accept epass but does accept credit cards. Can I use my epass virtual visa for this?

Yuck. I read your posts. FWIW, they did not inform me either, which is [censored] ridiculous. I sent them a message regarding the funds I wanted released. They replied directly to the message telling me my account was locked and said nothing regarding my original question.

I just logged into epassporte and it says they're currently having problems and your account balance might appear as $0 (it does) and that you won't be able to use it until this is fixed. wtf

Oh and no you can't load funds from Epassporte to PayTru. It's blocked by Epassporte.

***just so I don't get flamed, well I might anyways. I was doing this because I don't have my card in hand to withdrawl at a ATM for Epassporte, but I do with PayTru.

QUESTION:

Can I use epassporte to withdraw/cashout from 2 different sites that are skins on the same network? for example absolute poker and vegas poker? i really doubt I could have the same neteller attached to each.

Thanks

I can't speak to Absolute, but if the network is okay with multiple accounts, I can't see why not. I always had multiple accounts on Crypto, Microgaming (Prima), and iPoker networks with the same NT.

Day 4:
Call CSR and finally given a ticket number.
CSR tells me that their faxes are not working at the number given on the webpage and phone recording.
CSR gives me a new fax number and assures me that this fax machine is located physically near him (he alluded that the fax number given on the webpage and phone goes to their corporate fax in another location) and that he will personally take my fax when it arrives.
15 min later, I have the merchant send another fax to the new number with ATT: Ticket #****** on the cover page.

Day 6.

Surprise, surprise, CSR can't find the fax.
Today's CSR is confused as to why I faxed to the 2nd number and not the main as they've had no fax problems what so ever.
I ask to speak with a manager and I'm told there is no manager available "for handling this type of issue".
I offer to wait on hold until a manager is available, but CSR says that isn't possible and they will call me within 48 hours.

EPASS WARNING: Epass fails Visa's Automated Address Verification (as told to me by a merchant). However, the merchants will authorize the charge before verifying your address. Some merchants (like mine) will not deal with a card issuer that doesn't conform to Visa's verification standards. Good luck getting Epass to remove the authorization and restore your proper available balance.

Day 8:
Manager never returned my call as promised.
I called today and was told that they don't know if they have my fax or not and they have no way of checking until Monday since their faxes go to the corporate office.
Today's CSR says that once the fax is received it takes 5 business days to remove the authorization (contrary to the 24 hour timeframe posted on the site and quoted to me by previous CSRs).
I'm told to call back tommorrow and they'll be able to call corporate and confirm the receipt of my fax.

This company is a complete mess.

Personally, I've had mostly good experiences with EP. I signed up in the days immediately following the Neteller debacle. Was very speedy. The only problem I had was that at one point, their records said I had overdrawn my account. I didn't get that because I didn't even know that was possible. So I called, and they weren't very helpful, except to say that can you please bring your account to 0. Well, soon after that guess what, the charges that had overdrawn my account were mysteriously reversed and my account was back to 0. Anyway, aside from that, I'm quite happy with them at this point.

I have a bank transfer pending to clear and be added to my epassporte on 4/20. Funds are neither out of my bank account nor in my epassporte account.

I no longer want this transfer, is there any way i can cancel it?

Talk to your bank. I can't imagine a scenario where Epass would help you.

Standard Personal Accounts have the following Visa Virtual Account and Visa Card limits:

Visa Virtual Account
Daily Maximum Load Limit US$500.00
Daily Maximum Single Cash Transaction Amount US$500.00
Daily Maximum Number of Transactions 10
Daily Maximum Number of Loads 5

Visa Card
Daily Maximum ATM Cash Withdrawal Amount US$300.00
Daily Maximum Single Cash Transaction Amount US$500.00
Daily Maximum Number of ATM Transactions 5
Daily Maximum Number of Transactions 10

Does this mean you can't withdraw more than 500$ at a time from poker sites?? I need to move ~5K from FTP to Stars and I'd like to use ePassporte if it's not a big pain in the ass to set up and if I can move that much money. Anybody can help?
