limon,
Thanks. El Dorado is the only course down there I've played twice, and I heard it since went private. Pity, but not a huge loss with all the other courses, new and old. Played Cabo Real once too, enjoyed it.
The thing about Cabo del Sol is that even the non-ocean holes on the Ocean course were incredibly memorable. Very well manicured and a fair, challenging layout. When I was there they had the taco bar set up by the clubhouse, which you were supposed to hit when you came back towards the clubhouse on 11. Good times.

94 on a local muni here in the Denver area. First time out this year and did not play last year. I felt like I left at least 10 shots out there due to stupid plays, bad putts, etc. I had a birdie and two pars. My last handicap was 15 several years ago.

You apparently skipped over my 100+ score. It's not even long or difficult. Not sure what rating/slope is.

I'm an 8 index, played my fourth round of golf this season (shot 93, 91, 86 the first three times, what a mess!), then Saturday I had my second best round with a score of 77 on a 71/125 course.
Everything was clicking nicely, one birdie - and two three putts (on the 9th and 18th holes)
Was fun to feel like I know how to play this game after all. Still going to get new irons next week, even though I was hitting these Ping i3+ just fine

Finally got out for the first time this year. Shot a 93 in 15-30mph winds on a course I have never seen before, which includes a 10 on a hole when I hit the ball OB three times.
Still won $65 because the guy I'm playing with still thinks he can beat me straight up.
I keep waiting for him to ask for shots, but every week he just looks at me and says $5 a hole $10 a nine and $10 for 18. I used to think he was setting me up, but this has been going on for a year and a half.

What is your HDCP that a 93 is such a disappointment?
Anyway, good for you to have a "reverse sandbagger" on the hook. I know one of them, I hate getting paired with him because it's like instantly giving the other team 3-4 shots. He shoots his best rounds when nobody is watching, "finds" his ball in the desert 100% of the time when he looks for it himself, and otherwise just can't face the fact that he's insecure about his abilities and simply not as good as he is trying to project.
