Just curious.

Obviously it's possible. But can you make them keep longer by doing so? Will they go all weird when you defrost them?

Out of the shell, yes, I freeze seperated whites and yolks almost indefinitely. But in the shell, the shell would crack when frozen, then be a mess when thawed.

Yeah, you can freeze egg whites.

What if a hole were made in the shell to relieve the pressure and allow the expanding mass to escape without cracking the shell? What size, quantity, and spacing of holes would be required?
