There's a new game at a casino near where I live. It doesn't match the description of any of the holdem house games at the wizard of odds. Is anyone familiar with this game? I presume that since the dealer wins all ties, that this game is unbeatable? What would the approximate house edge be on this?

We've had this game in KC for about a year and a half now, and my wife loves it. It's a pretty fun game, but I imagine that the HA is shockingly high, especially if you play the bonus. We've actually had good luck playing it, never losing too much, and I hit a str8 flush once playing the "envy" button, which made for a nice win. However, I can't imagine how much EV I'm giving the house playing it. Scary, really. However, I also think that that's where the variance comes from. We've always broke pretty even on the actual play of the game, our only bigger wins or losses on the nights that we play the bonus.

On another note, I'll probably be playing this Saturday since we are going to the boats for her birthday, and spending 5 hours by myself in a poker room while her and her friends are playing this game will make me sleep on the couch for a month.

I have no idea what the best strategy for this is, though I usually split if I have 2 big pairs, or say QQ and AKs. Other than that, I pretty much just play the best hands I have. Oh, since the dealer wins ties, I'll favor things like suited connectors, etc alot more. FLushes are pretty prevelant in this game as well, so if they're soooooted, they're goot! (or atleast that's what the dealer told me...lol)
