Hi,

I've been casino whoring for a while now, consistently making a profit...problem is I'm bored out of my mind and there are still a few that I would like to hit before taking a break.

So far I've done nothing else than BJ 1 handed. The site I'm working on has the option for 3 or 5 hands at one time. Just how much does that affect the odds? Can I still follow basic strategy knowing some cards are out of the deck?

How does it affect your risk of ruin?

Thanks for the help.

I believe that the odds are the same but your variance will increase.

I dont quite see how the odds can be the same as some cards (unlike poker) are showing face up.

If I play 5 handed, need an 9 to make 21 and the other 4 all have a 9 showing my odds to catch one would be pretty slim no? By increasing my variance I suppose I would increase my Risk of Ruin as well...darn.

How do you guys clear those juicy casino bonuses?

On a side note (and another question) : I know the Mortingale(sp?) system is not a way to beat it and will get you broke over a large enough sample size, but is it recommended for bonus clearing?

I asked this question a couple months ago <...> and got a great response (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=0&Number=4962638).

EDIT: removed incorrect information.

Thanks a lot for the link, I appreciate it...guess I'll continue playing 1 hand...I was hoping to be able to clear my bonuses faster but if it increase variance (when you don't reduce the bet) I'll stick with 1 hand at my single spot bet of $2-$3...I find BJ swings to be big enough already, lol.

I don't think that it would increase it too much if you played 3 hands at $1 a piece, instead of 1 at $2. Of course, if you usually bet $3, then it doesn't matter...but maybe on the sites that allow 5 hands you could play 5 $1 bets instead of 1 $3?
