Anybody have a poker room recommendation for the Lake Charles area? I'm going to be on the southern border for a duck hunt this weekend and thought I might play a few hands.

Isle of Capri seems to be the closest and a phone call confirmed they have a poker room. Has anybody ever played there?

Yes. I was there a couple years ago. It was nice. Many tables.

Hustler Casino is in Gardena. Even further south is Oceans 11 in Oceanside.

i thought the isle and harrah's got washed away during rita. if they are open both have big rooms (30 tables)and tons of loose action. like last post , it's mostly 3-6-12 and 1/2 nl .

The 3-6-12 game and 1/2 NL game at both the Isle and GC Coushatta are money trees waiting to be plucked. Good luck and have fun!
p.s. The 10-20 at the Isle is juicy on weekends.
