A-5 Count

I'm going to Vegas next weekend and am mostly going to play poker, but I might try some blackjack. Can the single deck games that pay 3:2 be beaten w/ just the A to 5 count? I never fully learned how to count cards because after I started, the only 18+ casino around went to 21+, so this will be the first live blackjack play I've had in 2 years...

With a 1:5 spread you can come out a little ahead in a single deck game. But if you are only playing a little blackjack, because of the variance, anything can happen in the short run. And putting out 5x bets because 2 fives have shown up and no aces, is going to increase the variance even more.
