Assuming I don't just stay in my room at the Wynn, suggests on cool/happening sports books and the like?

The Stardust used to have a good sports book, but I have never been there myself. I do not know its current status.

I thought the Wynn sports book was pretty nice.

MGM and Bellagio have the nicest sportsbook areas.

Caesar's book is decent too, and there are a couple of HAWT cocktailers working the NFL games. At least on Sunday.

I am jealous, Dids! Drop $20 on the hometown heros for me =)

MGM sportsbook is right next to the poker room -- pretty good compromise, and they should have the game playing on the widescreen at the tables.

I liked the feel of the MGM sports book a lot when I was there.

I usually drive down to the MGM to watch Pistons games. Their big screens are much nicer (less ambient light to wash them out) than other places, and their wall is not to cluttered with bets rolling by. (Comparing to Caesers sports book)
If you are playing low limit in the room, they have nice displays at a good level. (The monitors in the win poker room are to high to constantly took up at.)

I liked it the best of the 10 or so sportsbooks I saw last time I was in Vegas.

Skip the Hawks game though. You don't need that kind of pain. :P

J/K Glad to see you're not a fair weather fan.

If you want to watch the game AND play poker, your best bet is Caesars. When I was there, they had 7 or 8 different games on, as opposed to the 1 or 2 that most rooms have.

if you are in front of the TV in your room instead of at a bar/sportsbook/pokerroom, i will strike you about the face and head.

as in football.

i imagine this game will be shown just about every which way you turn.

some people really dig the ESPN-zone if something like that is your speed.

I dunno Dids, but I'm w/you if you'll watch the Pats game. We could try to book a booth or something...

The current plan I had was to watch it at the Wynn with Shant. However, if Gonores, Joe and other Vegas locals have a better idea, we're down for it.

Hey, I'm a Pats fan looking for somewhere to watch that game also. I'm heading to Vegas from Boston with 5 other Pats fans and we're staying at Wynn as well.

I like Joe's idea, but not sure how many people you need to do this type of thing, where they have booths you can reserve (I heard something about bokes at MGM??) or how you go about reserving them.

If it's the type of thing that you need more people for, let me know and we'd be interested.

Also, we've looked into some bars that claim to be Patriots bars out there. The Cauldron, GW's Place and the Oceans 11 Lounge. Joe Tall, do you know anything about these places.

I don't want to end up standing in a crowded sportsbook watching the game. FWIW, I LOVE the Pats in this game...
