/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Seconded. Ace, even though this is an internet forum, your ideas will get no respect if you abuse the English language.

Can think of no better starting place than Russell's 'The Problems Of Philosophy' which is an extended essay you can pick up in the form of a little and quickly read book, all written in plain English.

It'll bring you up to date on a whole host of philosophical ideas and writers, obviously in abbreviated form, but it does a fantastic job considering the space is occupies.

"O'reilly factor for kids" by Bill O'reilly. Buy this and you will never have to think, unlike the book by Russell which will just give you the subversive ability to analyze things.
