Ok big dilemma for me right now. I'm a 2/4 (6max) player.
Which site should I play on for +EV?
I play approx 20k hands a month.

I currently have RB at Absolute.
Also assume unlimited bonuses as they always have reloads.
20k hands will yield me $10.60 (RB+bonuses) per table so that's 2120 dollars in bonuses and rakeback. Downside, are.. the players are much harder and software is ugly.

For stars I'm silverstar right now.
Future resizable tables.
Nice VIP store.
20khands will yield me approx assuming (45% of hands meet the raked hand requirement) 16280 FPP which is worth 232$. Not only that, they have a lower rake.

The reason i'm thinking about Stars is because I want to work on getting plantinum as I heard it's equivalent to 14% rakeback. If you want calculations explaning that just tell me.

So which site should i play?

Absolute- 2120 dollars in bonuses and rakeback

Stars-16280 FPP which is worth 232$

Unless you think the players at Stars are $2000 worse, I would stick with Absolute

In 5 minutes you can create your own table absolute, cleaning up the interface. My background there is black, with a black table and a grey outline for the table. It's very easy to do. They are doing a good job improving their software as well. It is faster and has very few slow downs compared to what it was.

You shouldn't figure things assuming silver level, if you play this much you'll always be gold, or higher.

Based on your 45% est. you'll need around 22.5k hands to reach and maintain platinum. That nets 25k fpp a month, or $400, not to mention some decent freerolls ($100+ a month)

The stars rake is significantly lower. ABs rakes .25 per $5 in pot, stars rakes $1 at 20, 1 at 40, and 1 at 70. I think this makes the difference much less than 2k.

Anyone got stats on this?

I think if you are a good poker player, you should play at Stars. If you're not, go to absolute.

i think both offers are close to each other.

here's an example how much is paid in rake per 30k hands (it might be wrong, please correct me if i am wrong):

30000 raked (when flop seen) hands per month (1000 / day) at 2/4 fixed limit.
1/3 folded after flop - let say average 15$
1/3 average pot 25$
1/3 average pot 35$

ABSOLUTE vs STARS (rake taken per pot):
ABSOLUTE: 10000 x 0.75$ = 7.500$ ( 15$ ) STARS: 10000 x 0.00$ = 0$
ABSOLUTE: 10000 x 1.25$ = 12.500$ ( 25$ ) STARS: 10000 x 1.00$ = 10.000$
ABSOLUTE: 10000 x 1.75$ = 17.500$ ( 35$ ) STARS: 10000 x 1.00$ = 10.000$
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ABSOLUTE: 37.500$ vs STARS: 20.000$

if table is 6-handed then your part would be:
6.250$ vs 3.333$

but i might be wrong, so correct me please.

you can get rakeback to reduce this comparison

Not taking softness of games into consid, Absolute w/ rakeback and bonuses is better hands down-esp. at 2/4. At 1/2 it's a little closer. The rake back is not that much better for 2/4 6 max at Stars, but is difficult to calculate w/ softness of games and The Stars Vip programs(or whatever there called). My personal opinion is to stick w/ Absolute-I think the games at absolute are pretty good-at least at .5/1 & 1/2-at least I think they are rated to harsly on Bonus Whores, but I dunno about 2/4. I'd reccomend sticking w/ Absolute for a while, if the games arn't that great then try switching.
Happy Flops!

The problem is trying to find 2/4 short games, typically there is only about 3-4 going at any time.

Overall it is probably more profitable at AP, but it is also probably alot less fun.

Poll is still dead even. But I might just go back to stars since there are barely any 2/4 games running.
