Hi Zygote,
From what I see in the film trailer and website blurbs, it looks like this video has a lot of truth to it in explaining what Jesus is not.
For a good explanation of what Jesus is, see Joe Campbell's THE POWER OF MYTH.

i've seen it. it's pretty good. in summary, he concludes that christianity is nothing more than a myth, and he does so by attacking the history of christianity in how it was formed, and how it got popular.

Yeah, it's good.
Also: http://www.jesusneverexisted.com/
One thing he doesn't question though is: the morality of Jesus and christianity, which is the most awful piece of crap there is.

It doesn't matter. People that want to believe that 2+2=5 will never accept anything that they don't want to accept. Christians want nothing to do with facts. They have a vested interest in myth. Their vested interest is their own self absorbed immortality. The fact is all religion is centered around comforting those who are afraid of death.

Yes I am afraid of death. But that doesn't mean I'm going to lie to myself and pretend to know what's out there. Everyone fears the unknown. Anyone who claims otherwise is lying.
