The projections were so far off it is sick (to me, since I thought I'd get $1k. Instead, I barely got $500 with 552 tix).

Can you imagine what a profitable promo this is for Party?

I bet they start running these very frequently.

Top 3 players are unknown to me. But several players in top 25 are very familiar. Good luck to them!

Peeps didn't factor in the new pro-multitable software of party which was not available for the last promotion. Through the numbers up, i'm sure.

if they use this same structure next time, i'm not gonna participate. its retarded to give out an extra $5 or $10 each to 9k people, but screw the people at the top. $10 means almost nothing, but an extra $200-$500 is a good motivator for the top.

Yes they were, I think for many reasons that I said after the promotion started.

1. The promotion ran 12 more hours than expected. The previous two promotions started around 12PM Eastern Time. This one started ontime at Midnight Eastern Time

2. I also said the upper numbers would be tougher to predict because this promotion was less top heavy. The last one had better higher tiers. (1100,800,500) this one was (1000,500,200) giving more incentive to hitting the highest tier.

3. More people know the showdown rule much quicker.

4. Party listed the acutal games that won tickets versus just a number of tickets.

5. Anyone could play the begginers tables.

The one adjustment that would bring ticket count down had little effect 1/2 0.5/1 10 max tables.

I am sure they will do another one in May or June.

Playing a normal amount during the promotion netted me a free and easy $75.

VIP bonuses + deposit bonuses + these open for everyone bonuses = Party's been really cool lately.

They will have a close look to the games. Whats better 200 that play day and night or 5000 that play 1-2 hour more. We will see and know it in the next promo. Party will do what bring the biggest profit.

Final Analysis, Sniper's Predicted Outcome to Actual Results...
$1000 ..#1 Predict 950 T = Actual 1021 (+71)
$1000 .#25 Predict 550 T = Actual 694 (+144) Wow!!
$500 ..#75 Predict 400 T = Actual 539 (+139) Ouch!!
$200 .#175 Predict 340 T = Actual 358 (+18)
$100 .#675 Predict 225 T = Actual 202 (-23)
$75 .#2175 Predict 160 T = Actual 125 (-35)
$50 .#5175 Predict 100 T = Actual 82 (-18)
$25 #10175 Predict 60 T = Actual 55 (-5)

I'm thinking 2 primary factors impacted why the top 75 was much higher than predicted...
1. Only 75 spots for $500+ compared to 300 last time forced more competition at the top.
2. The Accelerator8 VIP promo is also active and already forcing the active people to play more hands. (and I'm kicking myself for forgetting to account for accelerator8 play)

For completeness, here's Dennisa's projection results...
$1000 (1- 25th) 544 - 600 tickets (694) [+ 94-150]
$ 500 (26-75th) 425 - 450 tickets (539) [+ 89-114]
$ 200 (76- 175) 300 - 325 tickets (358) [+ 33-58]
$ 100 (175-675) 275 - 300 tickets (202) [- 73-98]
$ 75 (675-2175) 175 - 200 tickets (125) [- 50-75]
$ 50 (2175-5175) 115- 135 tickets ( 82) [- 33-53]
$ 25 (5175-10175) 80 - 90 tickets ( 55) [- 25-35]

Congrats to the winners!

I aggree. Party has had this promo 3 different times under a different structure each time. They are definately tweeking it to find what is the most profitable. Unfortunately it looks like they probably just found it. Maybe next time around they will offer 1500 to the top ten or something.

There will be a breaking point where people stop trying. I know after the effort I put into it this time, if they made the top tier pay $1500 into the top 10 I just wouldn't even bother trying.

Honsetly, I really want to know how much he lost during this promo. It had to be several hundred dollars.

Win a $1,000 promo, lose 200 in the cash games, net 800. Not too shabby if you are short stacked.

He is pretty much singlehandedly the reason this promo didn't include the most brutal downswing of my life. Even with him on multiple tables basically all the time I still managed a 350BB dip in the middle.

Oh well, finished down 26BB, which while bad wasn't totally brutal considering that I play 95% full handed normally. Got an appetite for learning SH for real now though.

Still going to kill kittens for bubbling out of top 25.

Yeah, and won't he read this and get pissed at you for calling him a donk?

I'm happy I got $50 for 100 tickets in a few regular sessions of 5 tabling, but wow, I can't believe someone got 1000 tickets. That's insane. I could see myself getting 300 tickets if I spent the whole weekend doing it, but that would have been excruciating for not much extra of a reward.

I also can't believe there were over 3000 people who played more than me during that 4 day period. Party definitely has a lot of multitablers, but I guess they can't all be great or else I probably wouldn't be a winning player.
