It fascinates me that people put any solid value on their experiences ( I'm not singling out deja vu ). When the only input is " I experinced it" you're in a GIGO situation when it comes to making deductions.

Else there really is a Cylops trying to steal my flying pony each nite.

Maybe I'm making too fine a distinction between anecdotal experiences and corroborating masses of empirical evidence?? The bear I claim is chasing me should leave footprints.

My experiencing deja vu is not empirical evidence that anything has occured other than my experience of deja vu... and that occurs in my head ..not 'out there'. Mind you, with all the video surveillence these days, perhaps somebody will have a deja vu experience and then they'll find a clip of the occurance a year ago in the room he's never been in, in a town he's in for the 1st time today. Now, That would be interesting.
