View Full Version : Clearing Bonus at NL

I'm certain someone much smarter than myself can clarify this one.

I am currently making the transition from LHE to NL. As a result I cleared the last Party reload bonus 3 tabling 50NL. I was surprised at how quickly the bonus cleared as I had noticed at some other sites bonuses are virtually impossible to clear at small stakes NL.

I took a look at the charts over at Bonus Whores which confirmed that playing 50NL at Party was roughly the equivalent of 2/4 Limit in the bonus clearing department.

Why is it that it is virtually impossible to clear the same bonus playing 50NL at other sites? If I recall correctly I had to revert to 2/4 limit to clear a bonus at Stars as I could not collect any FPPs playing NL.

Can anyone tell me which other sites are friendly to small stakes NL players in regards to bonus clearing?

Thanks in advance.

most sites are not friendly to ssnl players as far as bonus is concerned ..... at party it is easier than limit ... here is why

At a .50/1 table the pot is not raked until the pot reaches 5 dollars
At a 25 nl table with blinds of .10/.25 the pot is raked when it reaches 1 dollar

On stars you do not get any fpp as a nl player until the pot is raked 1 dollar ... the pot must be 20 bux!@@

if you play sit and gos on the other hand, party counts them ZERO toward bonus while stars counts them 100% ( you get your tourny fee back) so if you like sit and gos then stars bonus clears relatively easy

bodog clears sit and gos the same as stars

hope this helps

Yes this does clarify. Thanks for the reply.

Are you aware of other sites that are friendly towards SSNL ring players? (6 max - in case that matters).

Paradise, Bodog, and RiverBelle are all fine for $25NL tables. If you're playing smaller stakes than that it will be hard to clear bonuses in a timely fashion.

Casino.net clears pretty good for NL players but the short handed tables are 5 max if that matters to you.

Thanks for all the info.

I'm playing primarily NL50 6 max with some NL100 thrown in from time to time.

I don't actively bonus whore so I'm unfamiliar with some of the lesser known sites.

I'd like to be able to play at BoDog but unfortunately they don't allow Canadians to set up an account on their site.

Party and the ex. skins are your best bet. Then bodog (though i like playin tournies there bere) and any prima sites where the pot only has to reach .25 to be a raked hand. Bettson also has a bonus 250$ 100% match 10x raked hands where it simply must be raked. You couple also play a 7x bonus on the poker network, though the 100% rakeback won't be too much, its the thought that counts.

Be aware that even though a rake is taken it doesn't count
unless you have only five people playing. If you have more
than five then the pot must reach two dollars (.10 rake)
to count.

Try BetFred Poker. 100% up to $250. Can be cleared as low as .25/.50 NL. Pots are raked at $1 (.05 rake) so virtually every hand is raked. 10X 2500 hands to clear.

Fast cashouts and bad players. I had a fairly good experience there. Didn't make nearly as much as i should have. I had about 5 or 6 flopped sets that didn't hold up etc.. some of the worst beats i've taken. But i guess thats the price you pay sometimes. No PT support.
