Also, I emailed party and asked for my official final total for tickets, and it included those from 3/29....so include those too.

It's funny how some people seem to not be able to follow simple instructions in order to keep this list accurate. Sure, they make an effort, but choose a random old post to quote and throw their name in there, or choose the correct post but fail to insert their name chronologically.

Also, whoTF are these guys popping out of nowhere with huge numbers? This was what I was afraid of, but where did the relatively new (or brand freakin' new) posters come from and where did they find time to get such high numbers?

After looking at the numbers posted, 624 should get their $1,000 and I would not be suprised to see 600+ get it too. For top 25 I think they will be a majority of 2+2'rs that post on this forum.

2nd tier I think will be between 400-425, a few more non 2+2'rs will show up here as with enough hours you can 4-6 tables and get to this level. Could even be as low as 400.

fwiw I put in 471 table hours during this promotion.

i don't. i would have never even known that 10 tabling was possible if not for 2+2. btw, i hope 400 makes the cut for $500. i stopped playing friday morning because the tix weren't being updated yet, and i don't trust them to keep track without an auto-update. i'm gonna be pissed if an extra 4 hrs woulda made another $300.

Many people did not factor in the ability of low stakes players to now 10 table with the new party software on one monitor for original projections. I had a feeling this would happen but still didn't have time to get the estimated 650 (which it will be around) that is the cutoff for 1k. I played 6 hours for 76 tickets (6 tabling) the first two days and still pulled of 581...could be worse i guess....

My point is that I do not think there are very many who would ten table for this tourney, change their game to not bet out their trips hard until the river, and loosen their game to get extra tickets. 2nd tier you can do 5-6 table and their should be many more non 2+2rs.

Furthermore, I doubt there would be any "fish" that would have the bankroll nescessary to even buy in at 6-10 tables much less have the mental fortidtude to be successful. so there are definately more than 5

If you are really curious you culd try seeking out those boards and seeing if there are any threads on the ticket promo.

Why not bet trips until the river? You were credited with the ticket if you made the hand and it was raked. It didn't matter whether it was flop turn or river.

If any player at these tables has three of a kind or better, and remains in the hand until the showdown with the hand being raked , he or she will "automatically" receive a free March Giveaway ticket.

Before a ticket would count, the pot has to be raked. That is $2.00 in NL and $5.00 in limit. While a bad ticket costs less, it is far harder to get good tickets in on the micro tables. Did they really have that many in the beginner area?

Not true. if you had trips on the turn and all folded, you would not get credit. Once on the river, as long as the pot was raked according to parties condition, then you could bet and get credit for the ticket. Trips that did not make it to the river did not get credit.

As in other threads, if a pot is only raked 5 cents and their are 6 or more players in the hand, the hand is not considered raked. It must be raked .01 cents per player in the hand per the partypoker website. I had some ticket hands that went to showdown but less than $2.00 pot (25nl) that did not count as ticket hands.

I played beginner's march giveaway tables for an hour or two, and kept track of the number of trips or better hands that were raked and went to showdown. They didn't count...

Playing nickel, dime LHE, the pot had to reach $1 to be raked. Most multiway pots reached $1, but sometimes when it tightened up, I automatically raised it coming in to try to pump it up. On the river, even if I knew my hand was a loser, I would call if I had trips or better. One time I had to call 4 bets on the river (.40), knowing I lost but figuring the ticket was worth it.


I think my vpip was over 60, but I still ended up a few bucks ahead.

There were a few "regulars" who were playing more tables and putting in much more time than me.

Wow, the posters in this thread got owned. Only 12 of the top 25 that posted their count cracked the top tier. I was top 3 here and not even good for top 10 overall. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif
The people who had concerns yesterday about random people showing up in the top were right! I just wonder if these really are random people or just posters that don't even know that there is a Internet Bonuses forum/were not posting their amounts for gamesmanship purposes.

I guess the concerns should have been brought up sooner.
