When I have A2 vs. the dealers 10, I'm supposed to hit. If I now get a 4 to make A24, do I treat my hand as a 17, in which case I stand, or as a A6, in which case I hit?

Good Lord - you're not playing anywhere for $$$, are you??

Seriously - learn the game well before slapping your money down. From your question, it sounds like you have much to learn.

Any book or http://www.casinodave.com/casinos.htm for the helpful action charts.

Other Gambling Games is where you want to be. This one is for bonus discussion.

Second, get a basic strategy card from just about anywhere on the web or in a store that sells gambling books.

Treat it as A6. Think of A6 as "soft 17". SO A5A would be like A6.

Yes, it's an easy hit.
