Lets say you have have HW from chapter 10 in a hard math book, and the material in chapter ten is slowly built up step by step from chapter 1 on.
Do you prefer to start by reading chapter 10, and everytime the text refers to something or you don't get it, to go back and read what you don't get?
Or do you prefer to just suck it up and start at chapter 1?
Now if you want to get done as fast as possible which do you prefer?
