Right where the post extras are. A tiny icon that I can right click, copy location, and send to other 2p2ers.
Thanks.

Copying the URL from the address bar should do it, no?

This will often point someone back to the start of the thread, rather than the specific post I want to show them.
Re: Permalink Button [Re: soma_]
Your name there is a link to your post. So as long as someone has replied to the post you're interested in, you can use that to accomplish your objective.
soah,
That requires threaded mode, which is the worst thing ever and will kill your soul.
It would be nice to link to specific posts in flat.
I would also like a pony

It works in flat mode. You just have to copy the name link.

The copied links do take you to threaded mode, though.

The post number is on every post, all you have to do is put the post number in place of the XXXXXXX
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=0&Number=XXXXXXX
</pre><hr />
Cola's suggestion hinges on a reply being made to the post. And as mention involves threaded mode, which I believe is basically a plot by some evil cult of web developers dead set on the wholescale consumption of our livers.
Tony's sounds like work.
We just want an awesome button.

EDIT -
Nevermind. I misunderstood your post. /images/graemlins/blush.gif
Given Cola's apparent approval of threaded mode I hereby demand that his adminship be stripped and hereby banned from the site.

Heh. I always use flat.
Threaded isn't completely awful, though.

Dids is right. Tony's suggestion will have to do for now though. Thanks Tony!
