American Idol Point System

Not sure where this should go...
Me and some friends have made a list of our picks for the top 12 rankings on American Idol... what would be a good point system to use?

Give 12 points for each person that you correctly guess their exact place within the 12 spots. Lose 1 point for each spot you miss by. eg you pick Taylor to be 2nd and he's 4th, you get 10 points.
For fun, add an extra 10 point bonus for picking the winner, or perhaps you could make that a tie breaker.

Other way would be that 12th place guess is worth 1 point, 11th is 2 points, etc. So guessing the winner is 12 points. And just as before, lose points for each spot you're off by.
