Lets try this again. Do stats get any uglier for 6max?

why the hell you aren't playing higher is beyond me. you must have about a kabillion hands at 10/20 by now, what's wrong with 20 and 30 games?

Unfortunately, I've gotta be very risk averse until September. And, yeah, I've got about 600k hands at 10/20 now.

Looking at your stats, I'd almost have to guess you are weak-tight with A high, or not stealing enough pots.

I probably played 15k hands through both months, but only 5k at 10/20. Poker is much more of a recreation than a job for me. I am a master of running badly though, and keep in mind that almost all of those hands are 1-tabling or 2-tabling.

Then again, I had a great decemeber and I'm off to a good start in march so I can't complain.

Oh no..... how guilty do I feel right now?

If it's any consolition my month so far is like:

15/30: 2BB/100
20/40: 2BB/100
30/60: -2BB/100
Overall: $10

I'm still not following: You say your risk adverse, but WTF? You must have some obscene monthly outgoings or something not to be playing a bigger game.

That might be a source of the bleeding.

You ran 2.5BB/100 for 120K hands, then broke even for 20K? Come on dude. Yes, the stats are sick though. HOWEVER, at least it's obvious it's a bad run.

Here's a fun graph from the hands after I started playing 10/20:

Your 20k 10/20 stats look like my 5/10 stats except with more showing down and less winning at showdown. Unfortunately I don't have a zillion hands to back up that I'm a winning player in the game so it's not going to be as fun when I make this same post.

Hey BZ,
What were your feelings towards your game during that downswing stretch? What did you do to evaluate your play? How were you able to live?

Sadly the games I'm losing at are 30/60, 50/100, and 150/300.

The games I'm winning at are 80/160, 100/200, 300/600, and 150/300 pound, which means I'm up $$$ over the breakeven

I would like to hear that you are a crazy-ass party animal and blew through that 66k in a month-long binge of coke and whores. If that's not the case, I still sympathize. In any event, count your blessings, lot's of people aspire to play 10/20 and many have a tough time beating it for any length of time.

Seriously, I don't play 6 max but it looks like you are calling down with high card way too often and it's a big leak in your game.

Kyle,

They certainly do get uglier. We had similar Febs, from my recollection. My march to date:

I've been thinking about this more recently - since we sometimes get less showdownable hands than normal, and sometimes more, it seems(from a logic standpoint) that if we can still fold losers the same %age our WTSD should drop more than our W$SD when we are running bad, because we don't make as many premiums / top pairs etc.
