Only 10 hands played. No stats on villain. He is only playing at 1 table. Was just calling the flop a mistake?

What are the suits. For the sake of argument I am going to assume rainbow. I usually don't (not never) slow play sets in raised 3+ handed pots that contain an A when I am first to act. The check isn't terrible but I think that you have to c/r and give your hand a little more definition before you go to the turn OOP. Your turn bet is just strange. What are you trying to accomplish.
