Yeah, I don't see any other way to play this. I'd put KK and AA in his range too, as I can't see any sensible player just flat calling a 3bet from the BB with any hand at all, so whatever it is he's played it very strangely. Even adding those hands you've got enough equity to make a call correct.

Make a note of whatever this turkey called with PF so you can keep an eye on him later.
