Villain is 20/17/3

Would it have been better to 3bet the flop with the intention of getting AI on the flop?

Yes, OOP, if your going to get it in, I prefer a 3 bet flop to about $27 and then get it in on the brick turn if not RRed.
By checking behind on the turn, if he checks, your giving him a free draw and will be faced with a difficult river decision should a scare card come on the river.

On this drawy flop I would probably 3bet about always.

OK first attempt at this

Any other reads on the villain? What does Button do on the turn?

I'd bet 4 on the flop and prob bet/fold the turn with a psb.

As played, if the c/r gets r/r then I'm folding.

If villain has a set I think they are often betting the pot on the turn when you check to them. I dont think its an aggressive flush draw as you have the Ac and I dont think Q10 is in his pf range.

The 3/4 size bet could be QQ/KK. I quite often see bets that size where the villain has a hand where he isnt sure if its the best and cant bring himself to committing a PSB

Forgot to add - Id prob 3-bet the flop as its going to cost you the same if you lead out on the turn

If you aren't going to 3-bet the flop, I'd like to see you lead the turn. I don't like a c/r here unless it's for his full stack (edit: you're too deep for this!).

I think you're too deep for this play here, you're going to fold everything but big draws that have equity or hands that kill yours. Well, actually, they'll raise you with the last.

I'm thinking between a 3bet on the flop, and a safe turn donk. Both have problems/merits. I'd leave the turn crai for when you're pretty sure you have an aggro villain dominated.
