Interesting hand. I think I go into pot control on the turn and check/call. If villain bets turn, i check/call river unless i hit another jack. If villain checks turn behind, I lead river for ~pot, and pray villain doesn't shove. If villain shoves, I think I fold.

3bet pf against button raiser. I really hate playing this hand OOP.

as played. Check call turn. Like payoff said if he checks turn I lead river for 3/4 pot to pot.

I agree, but know plenty of good players that like calling.

why is c/c superior to b/c, b/f, or c/r? If we check and villan checks behind, and then heart, T, or Q hits on river, are you still leading?

Could someone please explain why we aren't betting this turn for value?

I lead this turn every time.

[/ QUOTE ]

IMHO, c/c on turn is preferable to b/c, b/f and c/r, because we don't particularly want to fold our 2 pair, and, as villain's range includes all the hands that crush us already (AA, KK, 66, JJ, Q10), we shouldn't be looking to get AI unless we fill up with a J. Therefore, c/c is the best line because it is the most likely to get us to showdown without going AI.

I probably lead river for less (`1/2 pot), call a min raise, and fold to a shove.

I think you have too bet this turn too protect your hand, and I would be shoving any three bet. So many ugly river cards. And u will be called by many weaker aces draws.

Lead turn for value/protection. Your hand is strong but vulnerable w/ draw heavy board.

I think the idea that we should be 'protecting' our hand is a strange one to have when we could so easily be behind.

Usually 3bet or fold pre-flop.

Check raise turn probably. I'm in this position rarely.

I really dont understand this /images/graemlins/smile.gif. How can we easily be behind here? We have like 0 information on what hand the villian have, Button raiser who CB after we checked.... He could litterly have anything here and in this spot I think we are ahead of alot, hence I want alot of money in when I still think im ahead.

I love our hand on the turn, particularly against a button stealer. Whatever line we take should be with a view to getting as much money in as possible. Sure, we could lose to a set, straight or AK, but there's a lot more that we can get value against.

Against an unknown I lead turn for close to pot looking to charge aces, pair+straight draws, and flush draws. Lots of rivers can change our plans, but if it's safe I bet as much as I think will get called.

Hands that beat you: QT, AK, sets.

I start rolling on the turn.

When people post, "If you raise, everyone thinks you have AK," they don't mean you SHOULD think anyone who raises has AK.

I don't mind the call preflop sometimes. I cr the flop almost always, but I do it with air too. I either bet/call or cr/call the turn, depending on how aggro the guy is.

In any case you have to assume you're ahead and play for value. Anything else is bad

Whats the plan if villain raises flop or calls?

Personally if he raises Im callinn then leading turn folding to another raise/bet on the river.

I'm not sure exactly what I would do if he just calls, I can't see not betting again. But I'm not sure about what to do if he raises, I think I would push.
