Villain is unknown. Note stack size.

I'm always a little lost here. Call? Fold? Raise? Also, how would you play JJ? 99? 88?

Since most short stacks are weak you could probably call, and still get it in with him on the flop if you feel you are ahead. However, I dont think 3betting is a bad idea. You are probably ahead more times than not. I probably lean more towards 3-bet with jj/tt since hes prob getting it in against 3bet with some hands you dominate(A9 K9 99 down etc), others youre flipping, and few youre behind. With 88 99 flops you like he probably doesnt hit well and anything you do will probably work out well.

push - he almost always has unpaired overcards.

if he's a good SS he'll call with anything he raised with - if not and he folds then we're very happy thankyou very much.

there's zero risk of a late overcall of our push as we close the action.

3-bet to 5.75ish. Don't open push because theres still utg to act after you.

Meant 5.75 more...so to 7.75ish

3 bet to 7 and hope to get all in with the short stack. It's amazing how often small pockets call off in situations like this.
